Advisor - Six Days of Sun & Sea in Aruba
Curator’s statement

There’s a reason why Aruba is called “one happy island”. It hits that sweet spot between meaningful activity and true relaxation. One day you’ll be exploring places like Arikok National Park, and the next you’re floating in the calm water at Baby Beach or unwinding along Palm Beach. It never feels rushed, but it also never feels boring, which is a rare balance to strike. It’s the kind of destination that gives you the freedom to be active when you want to be, and fully slow down when you don’t.

Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Hilary Jampel to book your trip.

Day 1: Arrival & first taste of Aruba

You land in Aruba, grab your rental car, and head toward your hotel. After settling in, don’t overthink it, go straight to the water! That first dip in Aruba’s impossibly clear, warm ocean sets the tone for the entire trip. As the sun starts to drop, clean up and head out for a relaxed dinner, somewhere with ocean views, easing into that island time and feel.

Day 2: Snorkeling & Northern Coast exploration

Start early and head to Tres Trapi, one of the best places on the island to spot sea turtles if you’re patient and respectful. The water here is calm and clear, perfect for a low-effort but high-reward snorkeling experience. From there, drive up to the iconic California Lighthouse for panoramic views of the island’s rugged northern coast. Wrap up the afternoon at Arashi Beach, where you can relax, swim, or sneak in more snorkeling before heading back for dinner.

Day 3: Adventure day in Arikok & Baby Beach

Today is your most “active” day, so don’t drag your feet getting started. Head into Arikok National Park, where Aruba shifts from resort vibes to raw, desert-meets-ocean landscapes. Explore caves, take a few light hikes, and stop often, the views are the whole point here. Afterward, continue to Baby Beach, where the shallow, calm water is perfect for relaxed snorkeling and unwinding after the morning’s exploration.

Day 4: Catamaran & Palm Beach energy

Book a catamaran excursion for the morning or early afternoon, it’s an amazing Aruba experience. Most tours include snorkeling stops, open bar, and just enough to feel like you did something without exhausting yourself. Afterward, spend the rest of the day at Palm Beach, which has a livelier, more social energy compared to other parts of the island. Think beach bars, water sports, and a sunset that feels like a daily event rather than an afterthought.

Day 5: Eagle Beach & slow island living

Shift gears and slow things down at Eagle Beach, ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the world for a reason. Wide, uncrowded stretches of sand and those iconic divi-divi trees give it a calmer, more spacious feel than other beaches. If you want a little variety, consider a quick visit to Alto Vista Chapel or explore Oranjestad for some light shopping and colorful architecture. Keep this day intentionally flexible so you can relax. Have your final dinner on the beach to catch once last gorgeous sunset.

Day 6: One last morning

Have a relaxed breakfast and take a final walk along the beach. Aruba is about how it feels, so make your final morning feel the way you want. Head to the airport and leave knowing Aruba can’t wait to welcome you back again!

Need to know

Aruba is easy to navigate, but having a rental car is a game changer. It gives you full flexibility to explore places like Arikok National Park and Baby Beach on your own time instead of being tied to tours.

The wind is constant, and that’s a good thing. It keeps the heat from feeling oppressive. That said, the sun is intense, so sunscreen isn’t optional; it’s something you’ll reapply multiple times a day. Bring plenty of sunscreen with you!

Finally, don’t overpack your itinerary. Aruba isn’t a “do everything” destination; it’s a “be in it” destination. The best moments tend to be the unplanned ones: an extra hour in the water, a slower morning, or deciding to stay for sunset instead of rushing to the next thing.
