Curator’s statement
Krabi is one of those places that instantly slows you down. I love it for short stays—days by the water and laid-back nights, just enough to feel refreshed without doing too much. One of my favorite stops in Thailand.

Things to do in Krabi

Railay Beach
Island hopping (private longtail boat): Stop at multiple islands with snorkeling stops and fresh fruit on board. Just swimming, views, and a full day on the water done right.
Visit Krabi Elephant Shelter: This is an ethical sanctuary with a hands-on, no riding experience where you prepare food, feed the elephants, and spend time with them! Take a moment to take some personal photos with the elephants.
Ao Nang Landmark Night Market: Open nightly from 5 pm and very lively—music, street food, souvenirs, and Muay Thai fights. It feels like a real night out, not just a quick walk-through.
Emerald Pool & hot springs day trip: A popular half-day excursion best done in the morning. Enjoy warm mineral pools and a natural hot spring waterfall.
Reese Beach Club: Enjoy dinner and drinks on the beach with an insane fire show.
Places to eat & drink in Krabi

The Verandah Cafe: My go-to breakfast spot—small café with the best iced coffee and açaí bowl.
Curry House Indian Food: A small, tucked-away, family-run spot serving unreal butter chicken and garlic naan—genuinely the best Indian food I’ve ever had.
Tandoori Nights Restaurant: Another solid Indian option with flavorful curries and classic tandoori dishes.
Prime Burger Ao Nang: Late-night burger fix, known to be the best burger spot in Thailand.
11/1 Thaifood & Cocktail: Reliable spot for delicious traditional Thai dishes paired with cocktails.
Need to know
Use the app Grab to order scooters around the island—it’s the easiest way to get around.
Booking island tours or excursions in advance helps avoid peak-day crowds.
