Day 5: A cultural and foodie stop in Brussels

After checking out of the Airbnb, travel by train from Amsterdam toward Paris with a stop in Brussels, Belgium. Spend time exploring the city’s historic streets and iconic landmarks, using the day to take photos of Brussels’ architecture, plazas, and cultural sites. A food tour offers the chance to experience Belgian specialties—such as waffles, chocolate, and local dishes—while learning about the city’s history and culinary traditions. Afterward, continue the journey to Paris, arriving in the afternoon and settling in for the next part of the trip.

Need to know

Travelers should be prepared for a multi-country European trip using the euro as the primary currency. Train travel is easily accessible between Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris. English is widely spoken, but learning a few basic phrases is helpful, especially in Paris. Public transportation and walking are the most efficient ways to get around, and popular attractions should be booked in advance. Be mindful of local etiquette and safety, including respecting photography rules, watching for pickpocketing in crowded areas, and dressing comfortably yet neatly for long days of sightseeing
