Things to do in Las Vegas

  • Vegas is all about entertainment, and two standout performances deserve a spot on your list. Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil delivers high-energy acrobatics and dance to the soundtrack of MJ’s biggest hits. Then there’s The Sphere, a jaw-dropping venue where the visuals and sound are as much a star as the performers—my last visit was for the Backstreet Boys, the ultimate middle-aged mom’s dream.

  • If you’re seeking tranquility, the Four Seasons pool offers a serene, non-gaming environment with impeccable service.

  • For a livelier, party-style atmosphere, head to Resorts World or Fontainebleau and reserve a cabana for the day—both offer music, cocktails, and a vibrant crowd. Come nightfall, The Foundation Room is a perfect spot for drinks and dancing with unbeatable views over the Strip.

  • Even if you’re not a high roller, it’s worth stopping by Resorts World, the newest resort on the Strip, for a round or two at the tables. The property still feels fresh and clean, and its modern casino floor offers a wide selection of games in a bright, stylish setting.

Spicy rigatoni + Backstreet Boys = a perfect night in white

  • Start your culinary weekend with dinner at Carbone, where the energy, polished service, and Italian-American classics like spicy rigatoni feel straight out of New York City.

  • For brunch, La Fontaine offers an elegant atmosphere and standout dishes—and for an indulgent splurge, opt for the unlimited Billecart Champagne for $125.

  • For something with a little extra flair, Hell’s Kitchen brings Gordon Ramsay’s signature dishes to life in a buzzing, celebrity-chef setting.

  • Over at Resorts World, Wally’s combines a vibrant wine bar with elevated California cuisine, making it perfect for a leisurely lunch or happy hour with a great glass in hand.

  • And for a taste of Roman-inspired dining, Mother Wolf delivers bold flavors and impeccable pasta in a stylish, see-and-be-seen setting.

Need to know

In Vegas, the early bird gets the best table—book your restaurants, shows, and cabanas ahead of time. The Four Seasons is your serene escape from the chaos, but if you’re craving a party vibe, head to the pools at Resorts World or Fontainebleau. Remember, casino blocks are bigger than they look, so leave extra time to get places. Pack for hot days, cooler nights, and a little sparkle—it is Vegas, after all.
