Day 1: A private boat tour

Entrance of Villa Monastero Varenna Lake Como
Upon arrival at your luxury hotel, take some time to settle in and soak up the stunning lake views. In the early afternoon, I highly recommend a private boat tour of the central lake. This is the ultimate insider way to experience the area, gliding past iconic villas and charming villages like Bellagio and Varenna. As a native of the area, my tip is to ask your captain to take you close to the shoreline to appreciate the architectural details and secret gardens. End your day with a romantic stroll through the town followed by a lakeside dinner.
Day 2: Villas & Bellagio

Villa del Balbianello, Tremezzina, Como
Start your day with an elegant exploration of the lake’s most iconic villas. I recommend visiting either the breathtaking gardens of Villa Carlotta or the stunning grounds of Villa Balbianello, both offering a perfect glimpse into the lake’s aristocratic past. In the afternoon, take a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of Bellagio, known for its picturesque alleys and artisanal shops. For dinner, experience the culinary excellence of the area by booking a table at a fine-dining restaurant, indulging in local specialties while enjoying a spectacular lakeside view.
Day 3: Spa & Nesso

Gothic Bridge in Nesso, Lake Como
Spend your final day on the lake with a balance of relaxation and discovery. In the morning, indulge in a final spa treatment at your hotel, or take a peaceful morning stroll through the small, charming village of Nesso to see its famous Roman bridge and waterfall. For a last authentic experience, explore one of the local artisan shops to discover Como's historic silk production or find a unique souvenir. My final insider tip is to simply sit by the lake with a coffee or an aperitivo to fully appreciate the views and the quiet elegance of the surroundings before your private transfer to the airport.
Need to know
The best time to experience Lake Como’s magic is from late spring to early autumn, when the weather is ideal and the villas and gardens are in full bloom. The most elegant and efficient way to explore the lake is by private water taxi, but be sure to also take the local ferry to discover the authentic charm of smaller villages. Remember to book all fine-dining restaurants and private tours well in advance, especially during peak season, to ensure a flawless experience.
