As a PhD student in Roman archaeology, my continuous research in Italy has the added benefit of frequent travel allowing me to venture off the beaten path and visit places I would have never knew existed had it not been for my ongoing education. It has been these journeys over the last few decades that have given me a wealth of knowledge.
