Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, is magical any way you experience it. Thrill rides, iconic Disney experiences and great food add to the enchantment of your time there. Disney can be overwhelming if you don't plan ahead. Below is a perfect five-day itinerary, as curated by my family of four (with kids ages 13 and 14), including some of our favorite restaurants, rides and experiences.

Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, has something for everyone. An island off the coast of West Africa, Tenerife's beautiful beaches range from golden stretches of soft sand to volcanic black sands. The towns are charming and restaurants serve delicious Canarian cuisine. Tenerife is a good option for beach-goers looking to relax in luxury, adventurists looking to stargaze under clear skies and those who love to be on the water, spotting dolphins and whales.

If you find yourself in Europe with a few extra days to spare, Budapest, Hungary, is a lovely destination to add on to your itinerary. Filled with history, beauty and modern day luxuries, Budapest is great for couples, friends or anyone looking for an easy-access, lower-budget and charming destination.

Cologne is a lovely German town situated on the Rhine River, easily accessible by air or train from anywhere in Europe. Cologne is chock-full of history, including the largest Holocaust memorial in the world. The food and cocktail scene is impressive and sure to satisfy your German or European cravings!
