- Adventure travel,
- farm stays,
- foodie culture,
- heli & back country skiing
I am a farmer, ski bum and fiber artist entrepreneur who lives in western Colorado. I raised two kids who are now busy on their own adventures. World travels and new experiences have made me who I am.
My closest airports are GUC, MTJ and GJT, but I fly out of DEN or SLC for big trips.
My travel style
I am always looking for unique stays and experiences, and I like luxury as well – mixing it up in one trip gives you a well rounded experience of a place. Make it funky and cool, or top of the line. Run of the mill and boring just won't do.
Hotel Schwarzer Adler
Perfect for ski hounds, you’ll walk to the lifts for a day on the slopes, then return to the hotel’s spa and mountain-facing outdoor pool.
Sant Roc Hotel
A Costa Brava showstopper in a spectacular hilltop location overlooking the hills and sea, but just 10 minutes from the beach.
The Maven Hotel at Dairy Block
In the downtown LoDo neighborhood, this transformed hotel is part of a micro-community of hip shops and restaurants.
Recently returned from:
Whale watching and tide pooling in Bellingham, WA.
Heli skiing in Northern Iceland.
Big mountains and big lines In Kicking Horse, BC.
Exploring lakes and eating pastries from Zurich to Geneva.
Visiting shamans and hiking the low road to Machu Picchu.
Sipping champagne and snorkeling from my over-water hut in the Maldives.
Swimming with seals in the Galapagos.
One thing I can't travel without...
Bathing suit – there is always a pool or hot tub somewhere!
Two truths, one lie:
I drank yak butter tea with remote farmers in Bhutan.
I drove from the top end to South Australia after losing all my luggage in Darwin.
I went Bungee jumping from a Hot air balloon in Queenstown, NZ.
