The northern coast of Kaua'i is home to a 5-star, eco-friendly, wellness-focused oceanfront resort: the 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. This breathtaking resort reopened in 2023 after property-wide renovations (it was formerly the St. Regis Princeville), and now features crisp and airy decor, an expansive beach and two pools, exquisite local cuisine, ample wellness activities and access to the multitude of sights in Kaua'i. I had the opportunity to stay here in June of 2023 and would highly recommend it to couples, families, solo travelers and groups of friends.

Santa Margherita Ligure is in the heart of the Italian Riviera and offers beautiful beaches, vibrant town centers with good walkability and incredible cuisine. It’s conveniently located to take day trips to surrounding areas, like Portofino or Cinque Terre. And it’s perfectly suited for families spanning multiple generations. In August of 2024, I traveled there with my family, and it was the ideal destination to take in the Italian culture, while being able to navigate with ease with a baby and adults.

Boston holds a special place in my heart, as I went to Boston College and lived in Boston for two years after graduating. Now, I enjoy visiting for a long weekend, and was there recently with my family. Sitting at the center of La Croisette, the Carlton Cannes is a destination for luxury and relaxation in the heart of a vibrant city. In August 2024, I had the opportunity to tour the Carlton Cannes during my stay in Southern France. The entire property was fully renovated and reopened in 2023. The enhancements are spectacular and are tailored to the needs of the guests.

Just an hour outside of New York City, this renovated 1912 mansion is perfect for a serene, luxury escape. In December 2024, I visited the brand new property for a birthday getaway with my husband. The ambiance is stately and warm, the spa is magnificent and the restaurants feature fresh ingredients sourced from the onsite farm.

In October of 2024, while pregnant with my son, my husband and I headed to the beautiful Twin Farms hotel in Barnard, VT. It’s perfect for a nervous parent-to-be, who prefers not to be too far away from their doctors but still wants to enjoy a relaxing luxury vacation as a couple. The staff is incredibly attentive and knows each guest by name. The whole property feels like an upscale, relaxing escape, where you can enjoy fine dining or partake in local activities.

Sitting atop and in the heart of Portofino, the Splendido and Splendido Mare offer the quintessential luxury, relaxing Italian vacation. I had the opportunity to tour both properties in August of 2024, and I was incredibly impressed by the quality, amenities, and detail-oriented staff. Guests are welcomed with a warm, personalized experience, transporting them into a blissful stay.

Retiro Park is a peaceful retreat in the center of the vibrant city of Madrid. When I studied and lived in Madrid in 2012, catching the sunset in Retiro Park was a ritual for me and my friends. It encapsulates the Spanish mentality of “no pasa nada” (no worries), as you soak in the beauty of the city and let go of the stress of the day. Beyond the sunset, Retiro Park has so much to offer, and it’s a must-see when visiting Madrid.
