Curator’s statement
The perfect elevated mountain destination, the Grand Hyatt Vail is a great stay for travelers of all types. I had the opportunity to conduct a site inspection in April 2025, and I would highly recommend it for those looking for ski-on/ski-off access, stunning views and comfortable accommodations. The hotel
The impressive Grand Hyatt Vail welcomes guests throughout the year to enjoy all Vail has to offer from the winter ski season to summer adventures and beyond. Tucked away in its own corner of Vail, the Grand Hyatt has ski-on/ski-off access, along with high-quality onsite amenities.

One of the best features of the resort is the onsite ski lift, which is mere steps outside of the hotel. This lift (in Cascade Village) takes skiers directly onto Vail Mountain with ease. Just before you walk outside to the lift, there is a full ski and mountain valet, where guests can store all their gear overnight.

When not at the mountain, guests can enjoy the onsite spa, fitness center and heated outdoor pool nestled in the stunning landscape. Other touches throughout the hotel, such as the daily champagne sabering, elevate the experience. The onsite dining includes Makoto, with world-renowned Japanese cuisine, as well as Mountain Grill with local flavors.

Rooms and suites vary in size to accommodate families and groups, and the residences offer stunning and spacious properties within minutes of the main hotel. These are a great solution for larger groups or families wanting access to amenities with privacy and space.
Location
Located in Cascade Village of Vail, the Grand Hyatt is slightly out of the way from Vail Village or Lionshead. However, the onsite ski lift makes it seamless to get on the mountain in the morning, and the hotel’s shuttle service takes guests to the town center.
