A Stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul
Curator’s statement

Located in the heart of Seoul, the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is a five-star hotel, offering a luxury stay in a vibrant city. In June 2025, I had the opportunity to stay here and conduct a site inspection. From the prime location, fantastic on-site amenities and dining, and spacious rooms, I would highly recommend this for travelers of all types. Rooms & amenities

There is so much that the hotel has to offer, but one of the main things that sets it apart is the high level of service. Every staff member we encountered was attentive and kind. The concierge team was incredibly helpful and bent over backwards to ensure every guest had a phenomenal stay. For example, they gave fantastic dining recommendations and helped with last-minute requests. All of this is in addition to the superb on-site amenities and features.

The multi-story spa, pool, and wellness center is a must-see during your visit. The pool area features a lap pool, hot tub, and sauna. There is a full spa menu and many treatment rooms. I enjoyed a facial on my last day and had a wonderful experience—from the treatment itself to the tea and ambiance throughout the appointment. Also, there are men’s and women’s areas that go beyond your typical locker room. Lastly, there is a barber and nail salon.

Other amenities include a fitness studio and classes, a reservation-based kids’ lounge, and a floral design shop. Each room is equipped with the latest tech features to make the stay seamless.

The rooms range in size, from the Deluxe Room all the way to family rooms or suites. The views vary from city views to palace views. We stayed in a Premier Room and appreciated having the extra space with a full seating area, including plenty of room for my son’s crib. But I visited a Deluxe Room, which also felt very spacious—it just has a more condensed bathroom/closet setup. I had a peek into the Palace View Suite, and it has a full living room, separate bedroom, vanity setup, and bathtub overlooking the mountains. As your travel advisor, I will help you navigate the right room choice for your needs.

Dining

When booking with us, you’ll receive the Four Seasons Preferred amenities, including priority room upgrades, early check-in and late check-out, property credits, and complimentary daily breakfasts. The daily breakfast was phenomenal. There were so many stations, featuring hot items like fried chicken or noodle dishes, a typical American omelet station, an entire room filled with pastries, many local specialties, and beyond. It was such a great way to fill up before a day of touring. As someone with a food sensitivity, I was so impressed that the chef sought me out to walk me through the buffet and explain everything that was safe for me to eat.

Aside from the breakfast, there are eight food and beverage outlets, from the Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant Yu Yuan to the rooftop garden terrace or the casual Maru lounge. There is also a secret cocktail bar that’s worth seeking out. We ate at Maru twice since it had a large menu and was a great respite at the end of the day, and we also enjoyed sunset cocktails at the rooftop garden terrace. The views from the rooftop are stunning, with a mix of skyscrapers and mountains in the background.

Location

Located in Seoul’s city center, the hotel is in close proximity to many of the main sites, such as Gyeongbokhung Palace, Insa-dong Cultural Street, Myeongdong Shopping Street, and the Cheonggyecheon Stream. While it’s not nearby to the Gagnam district, we appreciated being close by to the main historical sites instead, especially on a first-time visit to Seoul.

Right outside of the hotel, there are a lot of shops and restaurants in walking distance. I enjoyed leaving the hotel and exploring in any direction to stumble on something new.

Need to know

With its prime location, the hotel attracts many leisure travelers, as well as business and government travelers. We found it to be very family-friendly and welcoming to our son, and it could also be a great spot for couples or friends.
