Let me tell you, my recent trip to RPM Raceway in Farmingdale, NY, was quite the experience! Right from the moment I walked in, I was really impressed by the staff. They were incredibly friendly and it was immediately clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority for them. It’s always great to see a business where the team genuinely cares.
One of the things I loved about RPM Raceway is the option to purchase an annual membership. For someone like me, who absolutely loves go-karting, this is a huge perk! You can save a minimum of $7.00 per race, and the more races you buy, the more you save. It’s a fantastic incentive for frequent racers.
What truly set RPM Raceway apart for me was their electric go-karts. I’ve been to so many go-kart places where the gas fumes can really detract from the experience, but here, there was none of that. It made for a much cleaner and more enjoyable race. Plus, these karts had a screen right in the middle that displayed your real-time position in the race. I’ve never seen that kind of technology in a go-kart before, and it was a really cool and engaging feature.

Safety is clearly paramount at RPM Raceway, and I greatly appreciated their thorough precautions. Not only do you wear a helmet on the course, but they also offer neck protectors for those who want them. I actually had a minor bump during my race, and I truly believe that neck protector prevented an injury. The track marshals were also amazing—they went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s safety while still making sure we had a blast.
Now, for a couple of points that could be improved. I don’t feel that RPM Raceway is particularly sensory-friendly. While I understand not every establishment can be, I really encourage businesses to consider having sensory-friendly hours. For example, the strobe lights by the go-kart entrance were quite intense, even for me, and I’m usually not bothered by them.
My other minor criticisms were logistical. The ATM was broken during my visit, and their lockers only accept cash and don’t give change. However, the manager’s response to this was truly excellent customer service; they offered to let me leave my belongings in a cabinet with the track marshals, which was a fantastic solution and really showed their dedication to making sure I had a good time despite the minor inconvenience.

After all that racing, I skipped the food at RPM Raceway and headed over to Mogu Modern Chinese's Farmingdale location. As always, their Hi Mein was a definite highlight of my night—pun absolutely intended, haha! And for those who love to travel for these kinds of experiences, you’re in luck! The Hilton Long Island in Huntington, NY, and the Marriott Melville are both less than 10 minutes away, making them ideal places to stay if you’re coming from out of town.
Need to know
Overall, RPM Raceway in Farmingdale, NY, offers a thrilling experience that’s definitely worth checking out. Just a friendly heads-up: if you’re sensitive to loud noises, you’ll find the music and announcements quite boisterous, so I’d highly recommend bringing earplugs to ensure your comfort. Don’t let that deter you though, as the excitement of the track truly makes up for it! And, to make your trip even smoother, I can’t recommend enough renting a car. For top-notch customer service and a vehicle that will meet your needs, Go Rentals in Farmingdale and Avis in Huntington are both excellent choices. Their commitment to their customers means you’ll have a hassle-free experience from start to finish.
