Top 3 Hotels in Mykonos for a Dream Vacay
Curator’s statement

Mykonos, often referred to has "the windy island" is a perfect escape for those seeking natural beauty and a fun atmosphere. Beyond the beauty of the island, I was utterly impressed by the exceptional level of service and hospitality displayed by the entire staff that calls Mykonos home for the summer. From the moment I stepped into each property, restaurant, store or car, I was greeted with a genuine eagerness to ensure my experience was perfect. Their dedication and attention to detail truly elevated my vacation, making my visits to Mykonos unforgettable.

Bill & Coo

There are two Bill&Coo properties on Mykonos. Bill & Coo Coast is adults only and is about a 10-minute car ride from town an directly on the beach. The beach area has lounge chairs on the beach or a level up with beach chairs, which is a great option when it’s windy. It has a small reception area but is an open-air concept so you walk directly into the pool, bar, seating area right above the beach.

There are two restaurants, one that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and the beach restaurant, Beefbar, which is open to the public and has a DJ. Beefbar is open to non-guests.

There are 15 suites and 10 brand new ones will be opened this summer in June 2023. 20 of the 25 suites have water elements. The rooms are big and have closets, big bathrooms with Diptique products and straighteners in the bathroom - which is a fun and unique addition.

The new suites are across the street from the main hotel on a hill and have incredible views. You can walk up to them or take a golf cart (it’s a 3-ish minute walk). The new suites all have large patios and private pools. The showers are stunning and look out over the ocean.

The rooms have Nespresso machines and an amazing mini bar / snack selection.

The design is modern, contemporary and sleek with neutral colors. The minimalist contemporary aesthetic exudes a soothing ambiance. The rooms are private, making this a great option for clients that prefer to be in privacy (hi honeymooners!)

There’s a small gym and they're opening up a brand new spa summer 2024. Until the spa opens, guests can use the facilities at Bill&Coo Suites and Lounge, which is about a 7-minute car ride or they offer treatments in the privacy of your suite.

View of the food

Bill&Coo Suites and Lounge - the second property on Mykonos, is family-friendly and closer to town. The walk to Mykonos Town in about 10 minutes, or they offer a shuttle. The two properties are 7ish minutes by car from each other.

The suites and villas have a spa and a gym. The spa is amazing and the rooms are like suites that have a steam room, cold plunge, hot tub and lounging area. It can accommodate couples or singles.

All of the rooms at the hotel are ocean-facing. The building is white with teal blue shutters. It has the same open lobby concept that leads to the infinity pool over-looking the ocean, bar and restaurant- all-outdoors, ocean and sunset-facing.

Love, love, loved this property and the staff!

Myconian Imperial

One of 12 Myconian properties on the island. There are three more in the works, which will make it 15 properties. Exciting!

Myconian Imperial is a larger property perfect for families, couples, weddings and honeymoons. It has 118 rooms / suites, four restaurants, two boutiques and a spa. It is about 20 minutes from town and is set cliff-side. The views of the ocean are expansive and gorgeous. It has a beach, which a shuttle can drive guests down the cliff to with beach beds. There is a sushi restaurant, seafood restaurant and two pool bars. Guests can go to the neighboring Myconian Royal for an authentic Greek Taverna experience with live music and smash plates!

The rooms are on the smaller side and entry level don’t have private closets. It’s more of an open concept. The rooms have plunge pools, which are private and have views of the ocean. Coffee makers are available in the rooms upon request.

They also offer a complimentary shuttle to and from town that leaves frequently and is very reliable. They also offer private transfers for an additional cost.

The service here is outstanding, from the bell-hop to the managers- everyone is on their toes and excited to help every guest that walks in.

Katikies Mykonos

Magical! I’ve been wanting to see this for forever and it definitely lived up to the hype. It’s on a side of the island that is some-what protected from the wind. It’s right across the road from the beach, so they do not have their own private beach. They do have two amazing infinity pools with views of the ocean and pool bars.

It’s a boutique property with 35 rooms, eight rooms types. 32 of the 35 rooms have water elements (plunge pool/hot tub). There are two primary suites with pools (these have two rooms and offer private breakfasts). The rooms are all spacious, clean and ocean-facing. The pool suites are not that private, but there are a few options for private ones, so make sure to ask when booking if your clients care about privacy. The design of the property is authentic, simple, white with pops of blue and color. It really gives you a sense of place of being in Mykonos and getting a feel for the culture. Walking around it feels like a little village with outside white staircases and hallways leading to the different parts of the hotel. There are a lot of stairs, but they have options for golf carts if needed for guests.

Lobby of the hotel

The spa is gorgeous. Massage rooms have couples and singles rooms. The facials are some of, if not the best, on the island. They use all-natural products.

There’s a small gym with two treadmills, free weights and yoga mats.

The property welcomes guests ages 13 and up.

They have a fine dining option and a champagne bar with Brad Pitt’s champagne.

Loved everything about this property. The team is exceptional and will go above and beyond for their guests.

Need to Know

I recommend Bill & Coo Coast for honeymooners; Bill & Coo Suites for families, Myconian or families or friend groups and Katikies for friend groups (girls trips!).

Bill&Coo and Myconian offer a speedboat shuttle that can take guests to Scorpios and other beach clubs on the island as an alternative to waiting in traffic (the car ride is about 30+ min, depending on traffic).

I recommend spending four days in Mykonos and pairing it with Athens, Danai Resort (check out my Danai Resort report) or another island.

This trip report is part of our ongoing series on travel to Mykonos. In need of further inspiration? Check out my guide, Highlighting Danai Resort: A Close Look at this One-of-A-Kind Property.
