A Different Kind of Miami Escape: Life at THesis Hotel
Curator’s statement

THesis Hotel Miami feels special to me because it captures a side of Miami that's often overlooked: calm, creative, and deeply local. Nestled in Coral Gables, it blends modern design with a sense of community, offering a space that feels both inspiring and grounded. From the rooftop sunsets to the thoughtful details in every corner, it invites reflection as much as exploration. It's where I found the balance between work, rest, and a quiet kind of discovery.

Our mother-daughter weekend at THesis Hotel Miami was the kind of getaway that feels both restorative and inspiring. Set in the heart of Coral Gables, the property offers a calm, modern alternative to Miami's typical beachfront buzz.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt thoughtful and personal. The hotel's airy architecture, local art displays, and inviting rooftop spaces made it easy to unwind, while still keeping us close to the city's vibrant energy.

One of the highlights was the sense of connection the hotel fosters. Whether we were lounging by the rooftop pool or enjoying breakfast at Mamey, there was a warmth that felt genuine: like staying in a creative friend’s home rather than a chain hotel. The menu, crafted by Chef Niven Patel, reflects the flavors of South Florida and the Caribbean, making every meal an experience worth savoring. We especially loved the fresh tropical cocktails and small plates that paired perfectly with sunset views.

The location couldn't have been more convenient for exploring. Coral Gables is known for its lush greenery, Mediterranean-style architecture, and walkable charm. We spent our days visiting Miracle Mile for shopping, strolling through the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, and taking quick rides to Coconut Grove and Little Havana. The neighborhood feels sophisticated yet relaxed: a wonderful fit for families, mother-daughter trips, or couples who prefer culture and comfort over crowds.

THesis Hotel is perfect for travelers who appreciate design, great food, and a slower pace. It’s ideal for those who want to explore Miami’s creative side while still having access to world-class amenities and Hilton reliability.

For us, it was more than a weekend away: it was a space to reconnect, laugh, and experience a softer, more soulful Miami.

Need to know

THesis Hotel Miami goes beyond the typical boutique experience by blending wellness, design, and local culture into one thoughtfully crafted stay. The property is conveniently located across from the University of Miami, with easy access to the Metrorail, Coconut Grove trolley, and scenic walking paths along the Underline: ideal for exploring Coral Gables without the stress of traffic.

A standout feature is Hydrology, the hotel's exclusive wellness facility. Led by a quadruple board-certified physician, it offers a refined experience that merges concierge medicine, advanced recovery technologies, massage therapy, and aesthetic treatments. Each service is designed to enhance vitality and well-being in a calm, private setting: perfect for travelers seeking to rejuvenate both body and mind during their stay.

For dining, reservations are recommended at Mamey, the on-site restaurant by Chef Niven Patel, known for its tropical flavors and farm-to-table ingredients.

The rooftop pool and bar provide a lively social scene with sunset views, while early mornings offer a peaceful retreat.

Valet parking is available for convenience.
