48 Hours in Prague, Czechia
Curator’s statement

When I was planning my travels from London to Budapest, I thought Prague would be the best city to visit halfway and wow, was I right! This charming city in Eastern Europe exceeded my expectations in the two short days I was there. Prague is a great city for travelers who have yet to discover the beauty of Eastern Europe.

Where to stay

From Prague Airport to Hotel Josef, it’s a short 20 minute ride through the city. You can take an Uber or Bolt, another version of the same service. The location of the hotel is centrally located but not directly in the heart of all the crowds. A modern, clean, friendly space that is inviting the minute you walk in. There is a small hotel bar in the lobby and a nice area where a delicious breakfast is served in the morning. Exploring the town by public transport is convenient but you don’t have to walk far to reach many of the city’s main attractions.

Old Town Square

In less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel, you can find yourself in the stunning old town square. There you can see the 15th Century Medieval Astronomical clock and walk the narrow cobblestone streets to explore the eats and drinks of Czechia. There’s endless places to discover but you must make Bokovka Wine Bar one of your stops. A hidden gem (quite literally), you’ll find yourself in what feels like a true wine cellar where you can enjoy European wines, cheese, great service, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

Old Town Square 2

A little further from Hotel Josef is the iconic Charles Bridge, Dancing House, and Prague Castle. Unique architecture and rich history, you will find more of what makes Prague special. As you make your way around the town, check out Malostranský Hostinec Restaurant for a great traditional Czech meal. On the contrary, I stumbled upon an amazing Japanese place, OMG restaurant, and highly recommend it if you're looking for something a little lighter and fresh. Luckily, almost everything at the top of the “must-see” list in this beautiful city is not too far from the other so if planned right you can see a lot in just a day or two.

Need to Know

I’d describe Prague as a great transition from Western Europe to Eastern Europe. I recommend Hotel Josef to my clients who want to stay on a charming street while having modern amenities in their space. A romantic getaway or a fun girl’s trip, let’s plan your trip to the beautiful city of Prague!
