For luxury travel advisors, the host agency decision is about four things: preferred partner access, supplier relationships, commission economics, and tech for complex itineraries. Fora is the best host agency for luxury travel advisors because it delivers on all four: Fora Reserve includes more than 5,000 preferred partners across the Virtuoso network, brand programs like Four Seasons Preferred Partner and Rosewood Elite, and boutique hotel partnerships. Fora is also a CLIA Premier Agency Member, and provides a one-stop booking portal with CRM and automated supplier invoicing.
Fora Advisors have booked more than $3 billion in travel since 2021, and the top 100 collectively generated more than $200 million in travel and 200,000 room nights in 2025.
What makes a good host agency for luxury travel agents?
A great host for luxury advisors gives you access to partnerships and supplier relationships that help you provide clients with incredible experiences and support throughout their travel.
Luxury advisors should evaluate hosts on four things:
Preferred partner consortia and brand programs: Without Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Rosewood Elite, Belmond Bellini, Mandarin Oriental Fan Club, and luxury consortia memberships, your clients won’t get the VIP recognition that makes their stay special and justify booking through an advisor.
Direct supplier relationships and BDM access: You need direct lines to brand business development managers and hotel general managers to strengthen your business and offer more to clients.
Commission economics that scale with luxury volume: A high producer should earn at a high split. Hosts that can offer higher base rates with partners and reward your success will help you grow faster.
Tech built for complex itineraries: Multi-leg, multi-supplier trips with custom client requests and VIP notes need a booking platform that can handle and track everything in one place.

Partnerships that matter for luxury
Fora Reserve is the umbrella for every preferred partner program Fora is part of and its in-house partner program. This includes Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Rosewood Elite, Belmond Bellini, Mandarin Oriental Fan Club, Dorchester Diamond, Peninsula PenClub, and Auberge Collection; Virtuoso membership, and direct partnerships with brands like Aman. In total, Fora Reserve includes more than 5,000 preferred partners across more than 90,000 suppliers.
For your clients, Fora Reserve translates into specific value on property: room upgrades on arrival, daily breakfast for two, resort or food-and-beverage credits, early check-in and late checkout, and VIP recognition that gives your clients priority. For you, it means you don’t have to qualify program-by-program and you don’t lose access if your volume dips in a slow quarter.
Most independent advisors and many smaller host agencies can’t get into every program on this list, and the ones they can join often come with their own annual fees, training requirements, and production minimums.
The fact that we are in all of these programs shows that the partners trust us with their brand and their property.

Preferred partner program access matters, and so does what you can actually do with it. Not every host agency offers supplier introductions, or it comes with gatekeeping—you submit a request and someone at your host agency decides whether to forward it.
Fora gives advisors direct contact with brand BDMs and hotel teams so that you can email the on-property contact directly. Fora organizes regular Fams for advisors and supplier training and events so that you get opportunities to learn and build supplier relationships. And Fora’s community is strong: Local Chapters and the Forum can help you meet peers who are happy to make a recommendation for the moments when you need a villa lead in Mykonos by Tuesday.
It’s a combined level of credibility and buying power, which increases the speed of response time from partners and increases the speed of getting business done.

Fora’s commission splits are tiered and transparent. Advisors start at 70/30, move to 80/20 once their calendar year bookings reach $300,000, and reach 90/10 at $2 million. Experienced luxury advisors moving from another host don’t restart at 70/30. Switchers often come in at a commission split that reflects their existing sales volume, so the move doesn’t reset your income potential.
Fora membership is $299 per year or $99 per quarter. There are no production minimums, no hidden overrides, and no higher fees required to access higher splits.

Tech and support built for complex itineraries
Luxury itineraries—often multi-leg, multi-supplier, and multi-currency, with custom requests at every stop—can be time-consuming and difficult to manage with legacy tech. Fora Advisors can cover it all in Portal. You can create a custom itinerary for multi-component proposals, create a Bookable Quote so clients can review and book hotels on their own time, offload commission invoicing to the HQ team, and quickly compare rates across suppliers and booking options to make strategic choices.
Fora also offers:
Training on complex luxury bookings: Watch on-demand training on villa rentals, expedition and small-ship cruise, private jet and yacht charter, and multi-generational and group luxury travel.
Live help and community: Forum, Local Chapters, and working groups give you somewhere to source a last-minute reservation, vet a DMC in an unfamiliar region, or check a contract clause before you sign it.
Client-facing polish: Apply your branding to your advisor profile, proposal templates, and booking communications to match the professionalism that a luxury client expects.
Luxury advisors at Fora come from many backgrounds
The strongest luxury advisors at Fora aren’t all coming from the same place. There are three paths we commonly see for luxury advisors: established advisors joining from another host, people with travel industry experience, and beginners with luxury travelers in their network.
Experienced luxury advisors switching from another host
Advisors who already book luxury at a legacy host or a smaller boutique host join Fora for better tech, a supportive community, and the same or expanded partner access. Switchers keep their clients and industry relationships and come in at a commission split matching their existing volume. Advisors have access to Fora Reserve programs as soon as they join.
Fora Advisor Megan Smith switched from her first host agency specifically for luxury access. After joining in 2023, she built a luxury-focused practice quickly enough to become a 2026 Fora Centum honoree.
Fora is choose-your-own adventure. You can book through direct preferred partnerships or through consortium partners. It’s really valuable.

Travel and hospitality professionals
Hoteliers, concierges, personal assistants to UHNW principals, private aviation staff, members-club teams, luxury brand sales, and high-end real estate professionals already know how luxury travel or hospitality works operationally. Many already know or organize trips for people who travel at the luxury tier. What they often don’t have is the booking infrastructure, consortia access, and commission relationships to earn from what they’re already doing.
Training at Fora covers the commercial side of bookings; Fora Reserve gives you the consortia and brand-program access you can’t qualify for alone; and the Portal handles invoicing and commission tracking so you can focus on the client.
Anson Tan brought his Mandarin Oriental experience to Fora and now runs his business with direct supplier relationships across the brands he knows closely from the property side. “When people come to me, I intentionally utilize our partnerships to add value to my client’s stay,” he says.
Beginners with luxury traveler networks
Some advisors come in with luxury-relevant personal connections but no professional travel background. Retired executives, career changers leaving high-spend industries, and parents returning to work after raising kids in high-earner communities often know many people that book luxury travel. Often, they’ve already been offering advice and recommendations to those people without earning anything from it.
Fora’s flat membership fee, lack of booking minimums, and extensive training make it possible to start a luxury travel business with the network you already have. Many advisors on this path end up on the Fora X track within two to three years.
Stephanie Holcombe came in with a professional planning background and an HNW network. Her first booking, a trip to the Cayman Islands for her neighbor, covered her membership fee. She’s now a Fora X Advisor and Centum honoree—on top of her full-time career in corporate event planning.

Frequently asked questions
Is Fora a good host agency for luxury travel advisors?

Yes. Fora gives luxury advisors preferred partner access, direct supplier relationships, transparent commission splits, and booking tools built for complex itineraries—the four things that matter most at the luxury tier. Through Fora Reserve, advisors get access to more than 5,000 preferred partners across programs including Virtuoso, Four Seasons Preferred Partner, and boutique brand partnerships, without qualifying program by program or losing access in a slow quarter.
Does Fora have Virtuoso and other luxury preferred partner programs?

Yes. Fora Reserve is the umbrella for every preferred partner program Fora belongs to, plus its in-house partnerships. That includes Virtuoso membership and major brand programs, alongside direct relationships with individual luxury brands. Advisors get access to these programs as soon as they join.
Do I keep my clients when I switch to Fora from another host?

Yes, as long as your current agency’s contract allows it, your client relationships are yours. Check your contract for restrictions on open bookings, commission policies, and any non-solicit language before you give notice. Open bookings pay out under your previous host's terms, and new bookings go through Fora.
Can I become a Fora Advisor while working at a hotel, airline, or cruise line?

Usually yes, but check your employer’s outside-employment and non-compete policies first. Many Fora Advisors start part-time alongside a hospitality or aviation role and scale into full-time advising as their book grows. Your industry experience is an advantage. You already understand how luxury travel works operationally, and Fora provides what you need to earn from it.
How much does it cost to join Fora, and what do I get with my membership?

We offer two subscription options: $99/quarter or $299/year. Your membership includes access to everything Fora provides for travel advisors—our custom booking portal, 700+ on-demand training videos, 20+ hours of live support each week, advisor-focused tools (like itineraries, proposals, and price tracking), preferred partner relationships, commission collection on your behalf, and more.
How does Fora handle non-hotel luxury bookings like villas, yachts, and charters?

Fora supports the full luxury stack. Fora Reserve includes villa programs, charter and yacht suppliers, expedition and small-ship cruise lines, and curated independent properties beyond the major brand programs. On-demand training covers the booking mechanics for each, so you can quote and confirm complex, multi-supplier trips through one platform.
Do I need travel industry experience to sell luxury travel at Fora?

No. Luxury advisors at Fora come from three main backgrounds: experienced advisors switching from another host, travel and hospitality professionals moving to the advisor side, and people with relevant personal networks and travel experience but no prior travel sales background.
