Curator’s statement
Arizona has a special place in my heart. I lived in AZ for a month during pharmacy school and I was able to experience all that AZ has to offer. AZ highlights the various wellness-focused experiences while having beautiful views from every direction. From Flagstaff with an unexpected snowy mountain to Sedona with red rock towering over the skies, I'll give you the best of both.

Things to do in Arizona
Can I visit areas on the reserve?
Yes, however, I would double check on the popular tourist places to see if it is open or not before going--Indian reserves have the right to close to the public --Such as Antelope Canyon.
Where should I go for the best views?
Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, South Rim of Grand Canyon.
Should I buy hiking gear?
Hiking boots-100%. Hiking sticks - I highly recommend.
Best Hikes In Flagstaff
For Beginner Level: Buffalo Park, For Moderate Level: Schultz Creek Trail, For Hard Level: Humphreys Peak
Best Hikes in Sedona
For Beginner Level: Seven Pools via Cibola Pass Trails, For Moderate Level: Solider Pass Trail, For Hard Level: Cathedral Rock Trail.
Visit the City of Jerome
Jerome has a long history of being the largest copper mine in AZ. Jerome now has a whopping total of around 450 people who still live in the city. Highly recommend stopping by to learn the history of the town and experience the beautiful views that are waiting for you at the top.
Visit the Winslow Meteor Crater
Yes, the ticket is expensive. Yes, you won't spend hours viewing the crater, but if you're in the area I would highly recommend it. It is quite amazing how much of an impact it has created. There is also a quick museum that is included with the ticket purchase that I also recommend going through. It gives a great description of events that occurred during and after the crater's impact.
Agaun, I highly recommend going to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Go as early as you can so you can get a good parking spot and also the crowds will pile up very quickly. If you love to hike, please explore the options for hiking down the canyon. There are numerous options on how you can experience hiking down the canyon. You can take this trip by Donkey, by a tour guide, or by yourself. With a tour guide, there are options to hike further down the canyon and also spend the night! We hiked up to six hours down and up the canyon and it was truly memorable!

Need to know
When is the best time to visit? May through the beginning of June. What's the weather like? AZ in the hotter seasons has a dry heat, which means that you may not sweat when you are active. May & June are months that are great for hiking --not too hot and not too cold for snow (yes, it snows in Flagstaff).
