Things to do in Chicago
Architectural boat tour on the Chicago river: The 90-minute boat tour will take you through the architectural history of the city with a guide explaining in detail each building's design. Try to pick a day with good weather so you can enjoy sitting on the rooftop of the boat.
Visit one of the city's many museums: The Museum of Science and industry is one of the most popular museums with interactive exhibits on science, technology and industry.
Shedd Aquarium: A highly-ranked world indoor aquarium located along Lake Michigan in the city's museum campus.
Field Museum of Natural History: One of the largest museums in the world in natural history with over 24 million objects exploring everything from ancient cultures to the latest scientific discoveries.
Shop and dine along the Magnificent Mile: The Magnificent Mile is a famous stretch of Michigan Avenue in Chicago, known for its upscale shopping and dining. You can find luxury boutiques, department stores and popular brands, as well as enjoy fine dining at various restaurants. Attractions along the Mile include the John Hancock Center, the Chicago Riverwalk and the Chicago Water Tower. Suggestion: Don't miss visiting the American girl store located in the Water Tower place!
Visit the Japanese Garden, also known as the Osaka Garden: This beautiful garden is located south of the Museum of Science and Industry. One of the garden's most beautiful features is the springtime blossoming of its cherry trees. These trees have been extended beyond the garden as well and can typically be seen in late April to early May blooming around Jackson Park's Columbia Basin.
