Traveling to Morocco can offer a truly unique African travel experience, and Casablanca is a great place to start. The coastal breeze makes it a cooler area of the country than the more popular Marrakesh, and it is also closest to the biggest airport in Morocco. This was my first time in Africa, and it made for a memorable trip where I met some of the nicest people and had some of the coolest experiences of my life.

Madrid is one of the most famous cities in Europe, but offers a unique vibe and experience of its own. You can have a great time just wandering the streets and plazas, listening to the local music and tasting the wonderful food, but the classic architecture and nightlife provide an even deeper experience into Spanish culture.

Lisbon is a wonderful coastal city that has great nightlife and food. With some great day-trip options mixed in with a vibrant city, Lisbon makes for a great European vacation. Take a stroll down the beach or through the stone streets for a quality Portuguese experience.

Medellín has almost everything a traveler could want. It is arguably the safest and most thriving city in Colombia, with trees and fauna spread throughout the streets, a stark contrast to American cities. From thrill-seeking adventures and fun nightlife to history museums and great food, there is something for everyone, and maybe a great chance to learn a few words and phrases in EspañoI.

Iceland is the most beautiful country in the world, in my humble opinion, and Reykjavik is its capital. Whether you’re planning on driving around Ring Road (which I did), or staying in the city and its surrounding area, Reykjavik has much to offer. It’s a very clean, easy-to-get-around city with amazing views of the ocean and mountains. Take a stroll around to experience the vibrant culture and see everything from Hallgrimskirkja to a lava show to the nearby Blue Lagoon, a start to the many wonders of Iceland.

Nuuk was a dream trip for me—an incredibly unique arctic adventure for anyone looking to go into the unknown. I explored the entire city and surrounding area, and found just one spot to grab a couple small souvenirs, so you’re not going to find many mainstream things here. Don’t worry, though, there is great food, tap-to-pay credit card is the main form of payment, and, yes, they have internet (a friendly taxi driver’s advice for Americans). Grab your coat, gloves, and hat, because this city is not a Caribbean vacation—but the ice and snow truly offer a special experience.

Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful seaside city perfect for a relaxing getaway in Mexico's warm climate. Pristine beaches and lively music are ready for you to experience, with authentic food at every corner. There are a variety of luxury places to stay. There are a variety of luxury places to stay, along with a perfect combination of adventurous activities to make it an unforgettable vacation for couples or families!

Vancouver is a city with diversity in its people and food, with a great amount of nature close by and within. Whether you want to have a fun night downtown, hike a mountain, relax on the beach or take a ride on a boat across the ocean, Vancouver has every option imaginable. You'll meet some kind locals and have the chance to make your trip as adventurous or relaxed as you want with the islands and forests right outside the city. And just a ferry ride away sits Vancouver Island, a mass of nature and beauty ready to be explored.

I studied abroad in Galway in college and absolutely fell in love with the city and surrounding area. It's what really inspired my passion for travel, being an absolutely gorgeous city right on the Western coast of Ireland. With moderate temperatures year-round, it never gets too hot or too cold to explore the lush green landscapes and vibrant but relaxed city center. Further, there are many unique places to visit within an hour or so drive, including Connemara, the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher.
