Conrad Tokyo crowns the top floors (28‑37) of a sleek Shiodome skyscraper, so the moment you step out of the ground‑floor “pre‑lobby” and glide up to level 28, you are already floating above the city. For our party of five, Haneda Airport was an effortless 30‑minute taxi ride (about ¥7,500). Once checked‑in, we found the location unbeatable: Ginza’s shopping streets are a 15‑minute sky‑walk stroll. Shimbashi JR Station sits one block away. The Shiodome Subway literally faces the hotel entrance—perfect when you want to hop between neighborhoods with minimal transfers. Families, shoppers, and first‑timers who plan to rely on trains will love this base.

Le Mount Stephen Hotel in Montreal is a truly unique destination, steeped in history and charm. This was originally the private home of Sir George Stephen, a Scottish-Québécois businessman and philanthropist. The building was built in 1886 and reflects a rich legacy of elegance and grace. Over the years, it transformed into a gentlemen’s club in the 1960s, adding to its storied past. Today, Le Mount Stephen seamlessly blends its historical roots with modern luxury, offering a one-of-a-kind experience in Montreal. I stayed at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa from March 8th to March 11th, 2024 during the BNP Paribas Open. It's always fully booked during this tournament. The resort has a fun atmosphere with live music, a lively bar area and there were top professional tennis players walking throughout the resort.

Montreal, Canada, is a charming destination at the end of November, offering a magical preview of winter. The city begins to transform into a festive wonderland, with early signs of snow dusting its historic streets and the twinkling glow of Christmas lights adorning its neighborhoods. Christmas markets, such as the Le Grand Marché de Noël, invite visitors to explore unique gifts, artisanal crafts and seasonal treats while enjoying the cozy, celebratory atmosphere. This blend of crisp winter air, holiday décor and vibrant cultural experiences makes Montreal an enchanting place to visit as the holiday season begins.

Staying at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim for three days and two nights was truly a magical experience, especially as we celebrated milestone birthdays. The prime location, with its proximity to the park and immersive Disney atmosphere, made every moment unforgettable. From the excitement of the park to the comfort of the hotel, the memories we created will last a lifetime. This experience captured the joy and wonder that only Disneyland can offer, leaving us with treasured memories of family, fun and adventure.

I frequently use the dining and spa services at the Four Seasons Westlake Village and I finally decided to do a site visit in December 2023. The hotel is situated on 11 acres of land with one side of the facility overlooking the beautiful Santa Monica mountains. From beginning to end, the staff was so welcoming and well informed about this amazing facility. This is a great place to getaway for a day or for the entire weekend!

In March of 2024, I did a site inspection for the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa located in Palm Desert, California. The resort is an oasis paradise perfect for families and couples. I am most impressed with the fact that they are the first resort in the Coachella Valley to be a Certified Autism Center.

In April of 2023, I did a site inspection for the JW Marriott in Anaheim. This resort is categorized as an AAA Four Diamond luxury resort. I have stayed here several times in the past and enjoyed what the facility has to offer. The hotel is only a mile away from the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure (DCA) entrances. When I am not staying at the Disneyland Resort, this is my go to hotel when visiting the theme parks.

On March 11, 2024, I did a site inspection for the newly remodeled Disney's Pixar Place Hotel formerly known as Paradise Pier. The hotel is the first and only hotel to celebrate all the films of Pixar Animation Studios. This would be the perfect place to stay if you are a fan of Pixar films.

On May 31st, 2024, I stayed with my 3 teenage children at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This is considered a Deluxe Category Resort located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area. The resort's decor reminded me of the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Staff were all wonderful and provided exceptional customer service.

On May 25, 2024, I had a 2-night stay at the new Walt Disney World Swan Reserve prior to embarking on our Disney Cruise. The hotel's vibe is contemporary with subtle hints of Disney magic. It is located across the street from both the Disney Swan and Disney Dolphin Resorts.

Lido House is a charming boutique resort nestled in Newport Beach's upscale Balboa Peninsula, right in the heart of the yachting community. Its prime location offers easy access to the vibrant Lido Marina Village, the iconic Newport Beach Pier and the lively Balboa Pier. The resort exudes a serene, East Coast-inspired ambiance, providing a tranquil escape that feels worlds away from everyday life. It's an ideal retreat for a relaxing beach getaway, blending coastal elegance with a peaceful atmosphere.

Stepping aboard the Disney Wish is like walking into a fairytale come to life. From the moment you enter the ship, you're greeted by a stunning atrium that is as elegant as it is breathtaking. It has grand chandeliers and sparkling decor that instantly transports you into a world of enchantment and wonder. The beauty and grandeur of the ship is simply spectacular, setting the stage for an unforgettable voyage.

On August 27th, I stayed at the Sheraton Park Hotel for one night and was able to do a site inspection of the property. The property was remodeled in 2022 and appears open and welcoming to guests. The resort is situated right across the street from the Toy Story parking lot for those who want quick access to the Disneyland Resort and is located 0.3 miles away from the Anaheim Convention Center.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park stands out as one of the most captivating national parks in the United States, offering a diverse range of climate variations, a tropical rainforest ambiance, and the rare opportunity to witness active lava flows. The park is home to two active volcanoes, Kilauea and Mauna Loa.
