Site Visit for the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California
Curator’s statement

I frequently use the dining and spa services at the Four Seasons Westlake Village and I finally decided to do a site visit in December 2023. The hotel is situated on 11 acres of land with one side of the facility overlooking the beautiful Santa Monica mountains. From beginning to end, the staff was so welcoming and well informed about this amazing facility. This is a great place to getaway for a day or for the entire weekend!

Where to stay

The hotel is located on the border of Los Angeles County and Ventura County. It is 44 miles north of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and nine miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. On a good day, it would take you about 45-60 minutes to drive from the LAX to the hotel. The hotel has two outdoor wedding venues, a great selection of indoor venues which are great for receptions, banquets and conferences, a spa, a center for health and wellbeing, two outdoor pools, one indoor pool, an art gallery, three restaurants, a coffee shop and a speakeasy. They provide four electric vehicle charging stations in front of the hotel where you pull up for valet parking and another two chargers located in the public parking lot. The hotel completed renovations back in March 2020.

I recommend the Four Seasons Westlake Village for a short weekend getaway, a staycation for both couples and families or just for a girls day out. The weekdays are filled with corporate workers and this seems to be the ideal location for professionals seeking comfort and productivity during their work related stays.
