Curator’s statement
“Come quickly, I am tasting the stars!” It’s a quote often—though likely mistakenly—linked to Dom Pérignon, but it still perfectly captures the feeling I get in Cabo with a glass of champagne. Bubbles seem to catch the sunlight differently, the color of the sunsets is a little deeper, and the Sea of Cortez shimmers a little more brilliantly. Some of my happiest moments have been with my toes in the sand, a glass in my hand, and the Sea of Cortez endlessly before me. Cabo isn’t just a place to drink the stars—it is the star.

Nami Champagne Bar by Krug at Nobu Hotel Los Cabos
This is Mexico’s sole Krug-dedicated lounge, offering a direct, immersive experience with Krug’s flagship cuvées. This exclusive partnership essentially makes Nami the one and only Krug Bar in Mexico—and one of only a few worldwide.
Trust me when I tell you that Krug by the glass is unheard of. Except for a few places in Paris, this is a rare find. If you’d like a bottle, I recommend the edition number series, which represents the number of times Krug has created a new blend of Grande Cuvée since the house was founded in 1843. I only drink a handful of Grand Marques, and Krug is always at the top of that list.

El Farallón Champagne Terrace – Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
This bar is a little closer to Medano Beach, in case you don’t want to make the journey over the hill. This champagne bar carries a wide variety of champagnes, including Ruinart, Billecart-Salmon, Veuve Clicquot, and Pol Roger. But the best champagnes I have found here are the vintages by Billecart-Salmon. Whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed by the beauty and bubbles.
Pro tip: The Champagne Terrace curates a tasting experience featuring over 15 champagnes—what a way to spend an afternoon! This is an especially good option if it's rainy.

Champagne bars near The Corridor or San José del Cabo
If you’re staying near The Corridor or San José del Cabo, you have two excellent options:
The first option is the Taittinger Terrace at Sunset Monalisa: The champagne list features several offerings from Taittinger, including Taittinger Comtes de Champagne (Millésime), a vintage Blanc de Blancs from Reims; Taittinger Brut Réserve, a classic non-vintage cuvée; and Taittinger Prestige Rosé, a vibrant, fruit-forward rosé. My personal ranking: Taittinger Comtes de Champagne (Millésime), Taittinger Prestige, and then Rosé Taittinger Brut Réserve. Sunset Monalisa is just as breathtaking as the name suggests—every time I visit, I’m left speechless.

Sunset Mona Lisa Champagne Terrace

Sunset Mona Lisa for dinner
The second option in the Corridor is Las Ventanas al Paraíso at the Rosewood Resort, which opened its doors in 1997. Despite its age, this property still carries the soul of Cabo—it’s serene, natural, and spectacular. Las Ventanas has the best selection of prestige cuvées in Cabo. Dom Pérignon is served by the glass—an extreme rarity! I’ve never seen this offered outside of private cellars or elite tasting rooms. Additional champagnes served include Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Taittinger, and Bollinger. If you have the chance to order a Bollinger vintage, make it your first choice. Las Ventanas offers a beach pop-up champagne bar by reservation—it is a sumptuous beach extravaganza you can’t find anywhere else in Cabo.
Need to know
If you’re a true connoisseur with a preference for specific producers, many of Cabo’s top restaurants and beach clubs are happy to accommodate—with a corkage fee, provided your bottle isn’t already on their list. I prefer to bring a grower champagne—often a zero-dosage Blanc de Noirs—to enjoy at SUR Beach House, where the vibe is relaxed yet refined. There’s something deeply satisfying about pairing a personally chosen bottle with fresh ceviche and sea air, all with your toes in the sand and the Sea of Cortez just steps away.
