Florence, a very charming, walkable, small city, is the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to icons such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. The Uffizi Gallery and Accademia Gallery are must-visits to view masterpieces such as Botticelli's The Birth of Venus and Michelangelo's David. Visit early to get the best experience and avoid long entry lines.
The Duomo is captivating in real life. Pictures do not do this cathedral justice. Take in views from the ground level or climb the 463 steps for views at the top.The Piazzale Michelangelo is a perfect destination to view the Duomo and sunsets on clear nights.
