Day 1: Arrive in Maui
Once you've landed in Maui, grab yourself a ride to your hotel. Enjoy the scenic trip to your destination before checking in. After settling in, you can opt to check out the local food markets for lunch nearby at the Shops at Wailea or Wailea Village. I recommend checking out Island Gourmet Markets at the Shops at Wailea. You can grab a quick lunch at their kitchen and shop for any necessities that you may need at the markets. Their Kalua Pork Loco Moco is a local favorite! After lunch, get some retail therapy at some of their luxury stores before winding down at the hotel.
Day 2: Oceanside picnic at Wailea Beach
Start your beach day with a little picnic on the beach. We stayed at the Hotel Wailea, and the resort offered a picnic basket package with gourmet sandwiches, fruits, snacks, and drinks prepared by the restaurant to take with you on the beach. Grab a chair under an umbrella and enjoy a relaxing meal by the ocean.
The Hotel Wailea has their own complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas for guests staying at the resort.
Day 3: Spa day
BREAKFAST WITH A VIEW
Start your day with a fresh breakfast on the balcony delivered to your room and toast to another day in paradise.
ELEVATE YOUR RELAXATION
Turn your room into a paradise spa retreat with an In Room Spa treatment. I highly recommend the 80-minute Signature Hawaiian Lomi Lomi package which includes a traditional Lomi Lomi full-body massage, hot stone foot massage, and coconut rosemary scalp treatment. It will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated all day.
ATTEND A SUNSET LUAU
Especially if it's your first time in Hawaii, I recommend enjoying the beautiful sunset while checking out a luau. I recommend the Grand Wailea Luau. It's a really fun luau show with a classic Hawaiian buffet, open bar, hula lessons and other activities encompassing the Hawaiian culture.
Day 4: Waterfall, dinner and Road to Hana
CHASE WATERFALLS ON THE ROAD TO HANA
Take a small-group Road to Hana tour via luxury limo-van. Enjoy the amazing landscape and discover hidden gems along the way. Stop for pictures, explore the tropical gardens, and swim in a pristine pool under a beautiful waterfall. Depending on what time the tour starts, breakfast or lunch is provided. Make sure to bring extra towels and clothes. The tour also provides complimentary pick up at the hotel.
DINNER AT THE HOTEL
Enjoy a three-course dinner at Hotel Wailea's open-air restaurant. The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea does really well at accommodating to dietary restrictions. I recommend the Spiny Lobster and then the Tropical Bar for dessert. The Restaurant is a popular spot, so reservations are recommended.
Day 5: Souvenir Shopping
LAST MINUTE SOUVENIR SHOPPING
Check out the local shops to gather last minute gifts or souvenirs from your travels. Grab a light lunch at 1111 Nikkei Sushi Bar, and don't forget to pick up a bag of locally grown and roasted Maui coffee from Akamai Coffee Co.
ULTRA-PRIVATE CHEF DINNER AT THE TREEHOUSE
Say cheers to another year (and another trip) by having an exquisite seven-course dining experience cultivated by your own private chef while taking in the beauty of the Pacific Ocean. The dinner also includes expert wine pairing with each course. This unique dining experience is one of the most sought-after on the island and requires advanced reservations.
