Southeast Asia has been my home since 2003, and I particularly love getting off the tourist trail and discovering hidden gems — eating snails on a little plastic chair by the river in Hue; chatting to boxers at a Muay Thai gym in the 'burbs of Bangkok; drinking moonshine with the local blacksmith in a hilltribe village in Laos; drifting through the floating villages of Kampong Chnang in Cambodia.
I'm always accompanied by my trusty camera; in the evenings you'll usually find me devouring a bowl of noodles or sampling the local craft beers or cocktails. I'm all about local experiences, meeting interesting local characters and trying to immerse myself as much as possible in a destination.
