Curator’s statement
From the moment I arrived, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. A delightful surprise awaited me in my suite — Chocolate Heart cakes, red roses and birthday-themed pillowcases, making my late birthday celebration extra special. The hotel is located along the Nile River. It boasts pyramid views during the sunset and is appropriate for accommodating families, as well as solo female travelers. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone interested in visiting Egypt!

Upon arrival, the incredible Guest Services Manager went above and beyond, upgrading me to a breathtaking Junior Suite. This 120-square-meter haven boasts a balcony overlooking Giza Street with stunning pyramid views. It also had a wrap-around window offering sights of the First Nile Boat floating restaurant on the Nile River. The next morning began with a delightful continental breakfast at the Tea Lounge, where the entire staff provided impeccable service. They treated me like extended family, from Mahmoud, the Tea Lounge Kitchen Chef manager, to Hafez the restaurant's manager. Abanoub, who made certain that my coffee and pastries were fresh and just right. Eriny, who would come to my table and be sure to say hello. Maged, who attentively asked if I was comfortable where I was seated. And Salma, Alaa, and Fatma, who greeted me with the sincerest smiles and sweetest energy.

During my daily strolls through The First Mall at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence, I explored over 59 upscale boutiques. Of particular interest was the amazing Sami Amin gallery which showcased some amazing Hathor Collection pieces, which was of particular interest to me. The gallery also offers local, organic, handmade products by vendors like Nefertari Body Care. Offering views of the Nile River, The First Mall gives direct access to the hotel's amenities. Including an onsite casino and numerous banquet halls for special events and conferences.

Exploring the amenities was a treat. Stroll by the heated pool, discover the modern cabanas with built-in TVs and visit the spa. Thresa, the spa manager, assisted me with confirming my spa appointment and purchasing a beautiful handmade bag from local artist Najnaaj. A walk through the spa led me to the state-of-the-art gym, which is open 24 hours and includes a steam room. During my spa visit, Monica at the front desk set a warm and inviting tone for my spa visit. Mary meticulously prepared the jacuzzi and served the most delightful passion fruit tea. While Joan provided an exceptional massage experience, leaving me thoroughly relaxed.

As my experience came to a close, I decided to try the First Nile Boat Restaurant, ZOE. Noha, a sweet English-speaking server, welcomed me warmly up the spiral staircase to the upper deck of this floating restaurant. Zoe offers a Mediterranean culinary experience with views of Cairo along the Nile River. The restaurant's bright blue and crisp white decor evokes a Santorini-inspired, beachside ambiance, enhancing the dining experience. I had the Fried Calamari, Greek Dip Trilogy, accompanied by sparkling water as I gazed at the feluccas and other small boats gliding along the Nile River. Heba, the gracious host, ensured every detail was perfect, making it a bittersweet end to an extraordinary experience and a reminder of life's true beauty.
