Curator’s statement
Virgin Voyages cruises offers a unique cruise experience from typical cruise lines in a number of ways — they’re leading the charge in breaking the traditional mold. Other cruise companies are taking notice and scrambling to pivot to mimic their model! Until that happens, Virgin Voyages is cruising differently and dominating the market for younger, creative and adventure-seeking travelers.

The Stunning Reslient Lady / Port: St. Lucia
Free of your typical cruise gimmicks like art auctions taking over common spaces, towel animals in your bed, aggressive photographers pushing photos for sale and startling interruptions from the captain or cruise director over the intercom, Virgin Voyages welcomes you aboard to make their luxury vessel your home to enjoy as you wish.

VV pre-cruise vibes at Miami Terminal
A Virgin Voyages cruise is appealing if your travel plans include a desire for:
No buffets or formal nights
Cutting-edge entertainment
Best value without nickel and diming
Tech-forward accommodations
Stylish ship design and intimate spaces
Wellness-focused activities

Iconic view from red hammock on terrace
Some appealing tidbits:
Their ships feel like floating boutique hotels — smaller than the mega-ships from other lines, but still big. The decor is trendy, with a strong design aesthetic (like you’re on a floating W Hotel or Soho House).
From cold plunge pools to sunrise yoga, Virgin Voyages emphasizes a “detox/retox” balance — so you can get a massage, do a spin class, then let your hair down and crush cocktails that night.

Pool party on Scarlet Night / Resilient Lady
Unlike traditional cruises where extras rack up FAST, every Virgin Voyages cruise fare includes: all dining (every restaurant is a signature culinary experience), basic drinks like water, soda, coffee and tea (which many cruise lines charge for), gratuities, group fitness classes and standard Wi-Fi. While they may not offer traditional cruise bar packages, their drink prices are affordable (lower than most other cruises) and fully inclusive so you're not paying a few dollars extra for service charges or gratuities.

The Diva (Kara Kature) / Resilient Lady
Their onboard entertainment, fueled by a hand-selected and energetic "Happenings Crew" made up of individuals each focused on their niche genre (games, magic, fitness, culinary, dance...even a resident drag queen!) is edgy! Think immersive, boundary-pushing shows. It’s more avant-garde cabaret and club-style performances than Broadway musicals. Sometimes weird, often wild — but definitely memorable.

Need to know
While Virgin Voyages has something to offer everyone, it's not FOR everyone. To enjoy this cruise product, travelers need to be open-minded and progressive, young at heart (regardless of age) and bring a desire to celebrate diversity and enjoyment with everyone onboard.
