Places to eat & drink

Dishoom (Various locations)
I have been to this highly esteemed and worth-the-hype institution for breakfast, lunch and dinner at three different locations and can attest it has hit the mark every single time. There are specific house dishes unique to each location that you should ask the server for as well. Pro tip, order the chai tea with oat milk (it comes with unlimited refill). Also, you are not able to make reservations for dinner but wait times are generally better after 8 PM for minimal wait time.
Claridge's
If there's one thing you have to do when you're in London, it's the quintessential afternoon tea experience. Come November through December, this place is decked out in beautiful decor. Reservations open two months in advance on their website, so be sure to book early before they run out of availabilities (and trust me, they are very popular and for a good reason!)
Fortnum and Mason (Various locations)
This store makes gifting so much easier. From aesthetically-pleasing tea boxes to cookie tins, they got you covered (and honestly, their color reminds me of the iconic Tiffany Blue). Definitely stop by for a quick bite and souvenirs home for friends and family!
Sabor (Michelin One Star)
Spanish tapas done right, Sabor is a popular eatery tucked away in the heart of Soho. Come here for their pulpo (octopus), tortilla gallega, and their signature dish - the Segovian suckling pig.
BRAT Restaurant (Michelin One Star)
Another tapas style Michelin eatery, this time in Shoreditch. Known for their open wood fire grill, the standouts were their lamb chop and basque cheesecake dish combined with olive oil gelato. You really can't go wrong with anything here!
Dark Sugars
After dinner, stroll over to Dark Sugars for one of the most indulgent hot chocolates with fresh shavings of chocolate on top of the drink of your choice.
Hoppers (Various locations)
It was my first (and favorite by default) Sri Lankan restaurant experience, and boy have they set the bar high. Definitely opt for their generously portioned tasting menu, including but not limited to bone marrow, lamb, curries, squid, dosa, egg hopper, and sides for a very reasonable price.
Bob Bob Ricard Soho
Most known for its "Press for Champagne" button, this Instagrammable art-filled eatery also has a very solid beef wellington. There is also a small disco dance floor for you to work your calories off if you so feel inclined.
The Duck And Rice
This restaurant's take on the duck and waffle London-classic combination is absolutely divine. Anything with crispy duck goes.
Old Spitalfields Market
Not only is there a wide array of food options, ranging from pork pan-fried dumplings to oyster happy hour deals, there is also a lot of antique stores to shop from featuring cool collections of fashion and art.
