Santa Monica Pier
This is an iconic landmark on the Southern California coast that stretches out into the Pacific Ocean, offering a vibrant mix of entertainment and scenic beauty. Home to Pacific Park, a full-scale amusement park featuring the historic Ferris wheel, it buzzes with the energy of arcade games, street performers, and diverse food vendors. The roller coaster was my favorite activity at Pacific Park, and if you love roller coasters like me, you will love this! Beyond the lively attractions, the pier provides breathtaking views of the coastline, perfect for leisurely strolls, fishing, or simply enjoying a stunning sunset over the ocean. It stands as a beloved symbol of Santa Monica, drawing millions of visitors annually to experience its unique charm and quintessential Californian atmosphere.
Disneyland
Located in Anaheim, California, is the original Disney theme park and a beloved global icon of family entertainment. Opened in 1955, it was envisioned by Walt Disney as a place where children and adults could have fun together. The park is divided into several themed lands, each offering unique attractions, shows, and dining experiences, from the classic charm of Main Street, U.S.A. to the adventurous spirit of Adventureland and the whimsical fantasy of Fantasyland. Home to iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, thrilling rides, and beloved character encounters, Disneyland continues to enchant millions of visitors annually with its magical atmosphere and timeless appeal, creating cherished memories for generations. My favorite rides at Disneyland are the Hyperspace Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad—these rides are a must for anyone who loves roller coasters!
Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood is a renowned theme park and working film studio located in Los Angeles, California. It offers an immersive experience where visitors can step into the world of movies and television. The park features thrilling rides, live shows, and attractions based on popular films and TV series, including The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World – The Ride, and Springfield, U.S.A., Home of The Simpsons. A highlight is the world-famous Studio Tour, which takes guests behind the scenes of actual film production, offering a glimpse into movie sets and special effects. When I went to Universal Studios, I got to see the set of Parenthood, which was very cool! I was also amazed when they showed us how they make a car look like it's exploding on TV—that is an experience I will never forget. Universal Studios Hollywood combines the excitement of a theme park with the magic of filmmaking, making it a unique and unforgettable destination for all ages.

This iconic spot offers a quintessential Southern California experience with its picturesque sandy beach, swaying palm trees, and clear blue waters. When I went to Paradise Cove with my family from Los Angeles, my cousin Nathan was 1. This was his first time in the water, and he loved it!! I feel that Paradise Cove is the perfect place for people with anxiety to come and relax. As someone who is diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and anxiety, I found Paradise Cove to be really relaxing because the waves are so calm. This destination is also home to a popular beach cafe, offering delicious food and drinks right on the sand. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day by the ocean or a fun family outing, Paradise Cove delivers a slice of paradise in the heart of Malibu.

Philippe The Original, often credited as the birthplace of the French dip sandwich, is an iconic Los Angeles institution that has been serving up its classic fare since 1908. Stepping into Philippe's is like taking a delicious journey back in time, with its sawdust-covered floors, long communal tables, and bustling, friendly atmosphere. While the French dip reigns supreme—offered with beef, pork, lamb, turkey, or pastrami, and famously dipped in its own natural gravy—the menu also features hearty breakfast options, salads, chili, and a variety of freshly baked pies. A true slice of LA history, Philippe's remains a beloved spot for both locals and tourists seeking a taste of authentic Angeleno culinary heritage.

Need to know
Exploring Los Angeles with a hybrid or electric car is an excellent choice, and I highly recommend it. For the best experience, consider renting through Turo, which allows you to select the precise vehicle that fits your needs and preferences. Some standout options for navigating LA's diverse terrain include the Tesla Model 3 or Tesla Model Y, the versatile Kia Niro, the spacious Toyota Sienna (great for groups or extra gear), the luxurious Cadillac Lyriq, or the robust Rivian R1S for those seeking adventure or more cargo capacity. Whenever my clients go to Los Angeles, I always recommend Turo because gas is expensive in Los Angeles, and you aren't guaranteed a hybrid or an electric with other rental companies. With Turo, you are renting someone's car, and they have a great support team if anything goes wrong.
