A town on the coast near a body of water during daytime
Curator’s statement

The bluest waters I have ever seen and you don't see many tourists in this part of Turkiye. The people here are so friendly, always helping me find my way around. And I remember being on the bus heading to Kas when my seatmate was asking where I was from and what I was doing there, giving me suggestions on what to see and even offering me some of the local pastry that she made.

Day trips

Meis Island / Kastellorizo
So I decided to hop over to a Greek island while I was here and wow I definitely think it was worth it.

You can book your tickets either from Meis Express or Meis Ferry Line online or at their booth near the pier. Schedules for the boat timings can also be found on their websites respectively and the ferry ride is about 20 minutes.

Note: Your passport is required as you are heading to a different country and it is better to have some Euro on hand/credit card that is accepted there.

Once you’ve reached, just walk into town and find yourself a Kostos (boat man) who will take you on a tour around the island (about EUR10) to see the Blue Grotto and relax on St George beach. He will then bring you And if you’re lucky, you might spot a sea turtle too.

Places of interest on the island: Archaeological museum of Kastellorizo, Lycian tomb, Old fortress, Church of St George of Santrape, 400 steps, Paleokastro fortress

I had my lunch at Billy’s where the seafood was super fresh!
