Curator’s statement

Jamaica is a beautiful destination that I have visited more than once for different special occasions, and each time has felt like the first. Montego Bay is filled with luxury, romance, nightlife and adventure, so there's literally something that fits everyone's personal wants and needs. Honeymooners can relax on the beach or go on a fun excursion during the day, and by night, have a romantic dinner or go dancing at the resort nightclub.

Excursions in Jamaica

CHUKKA is a half-day adventure of horseback riding, ATVs, ziplining and many other fun adventures! My favorites are ATV's and horseback riding because I like to start off with a fast-paced activity and then end with a more relaxed activity where I can take in all of the beautiful nature. Afterwards, you'll definitely be hungry and tired so head over to the Jungle Outpost for a delicious traditional Jamaican lunch and there's also a swim up bar and ocean swings to hang out by the CHUKKA beach.

Martha Brae River Rafting: A perfectly relaxing and private experience for couples that are lovers of nature or just want to try something new. Also, don't forget to bring cash for drinks, souvenirs and food as their card machine may not work while there.

Margaritaville: A full day of water activities, American and island-inspired food, endless variety of margaritas and reggae beats at their onsite nightclub once the sun sets. It's the perfect mixture of being a big kid and adults-only fun! Be sure to bring money for food and the club and a change of clothes.

Beaches in Jamaica

Sandals Montego Bay Beach is the perfect combination of luxury and romance for couples and honeymooners. Enjoy an adults-only all-inclusive experience and access to 12 different restaurants.

Tropical Bliss Beach is for honeymooners that want a more upbeat party atmosphere at the beach. They play all of the latest music like reggae and hip-hop and it's nonstop drinks and entertainment! I recommend going there around noon if you want get there and eat first before it gets too crowded at the buffet. It's located right by Sandals Montego Bay resort.

Spas in Jamaica

The Royal Spa provides a menu of spa treatments such as facials, massages, special signature treatments, just to name a few. One of their popular signature's is called "Time to Connect For Couples", which is a combination of a body scrub, facial and relaxing massage and lasts for about an hour and 40 minutes. Located at the Royalton White Sands Resort.

Peppa's Cool Spot: A hidden gem open-air restaurant with a flavorful variety of food and drinks. It may seem a little different from the hotel resort vibes because it's located in a more residential neighborhood, but the food, drinks, and ambiance are well worth it and you'll want to visit again!

Air Margaritaville: Located at Montego Bay's Sangster International Airport where you can spend your last few hours eating a delicious meal and tropical drinks while soaking in the island vibes pre-departure.

Jerk Hut: Located right on the beach at Royalton White Sands Resort, enjoy the Jamaican snack spot that serves a selection of spicy and flavorful island food. Ask for jerk sauce on the side – whether you prefer to dip or just want some extra spice.

Cafe de Paris: Located at Sandals Montego Bay resort, Cafe de Paris is a Paris-inspired patisserie that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth with a variety of desserts such as cream puffs, crepes, cookies, and many more delicious pastries. They also have coffee and tea to add with your dessert.

Jamaican Patties: This is a Jamaican pastry that you MUST have before leaving your vacay. Visit the Island Deli in the Food Court at Montego Bay Airport where you can get ready-to-eat Jamaican patties. They also have frozen patties if you want to take some home with you!
