Curator’s statement
Tokyo is one of my favorite cities to visit, and after traveling there more than five times, I always find myself wanting to go back. I first fell in love with Japan after I visited in the fall of 2023, and I can’t stop thinking about it. From the bustling streets of Tokyo to the delicious food, I’m always wanting to go back.

Day 1: Arrive in Tokyo

Pagoda at Sensō-ji temple
After arriving in Tokyo and leaving your bags at the hotel, go grab some food immediately.
Make your way to Asakusa and visit the famous Sensō-ji temple where there are street vendors lined up to the temple and enjoy the peaceful, serene surroundings of the temple.
Enjoy the nearby views of Tokyo Sky Tree at night overlooking the city.
Day 2: TeamLab museums & Shinjuku

Crosswalk facing Godzilla Street
In the daytime, visit one of the teamLab museums, either teamLab Planets or teamLab Borderless. Borderless is more visual, while Planets is more interactive. They are both equally amazing.
As the sun sets and the city comes to life, make your way to Shinjuku neighborhood for very picturesque streets, neon lights, and the best food in the city.
Omoide Yokocho Memory Lane is where you can find the best food and street food and little bars and restaurants, sure enough to satisfy your hunger.
Make sure to walk down the Godzilla Street and peek in all the cafés and shops and look at the 3-D cat in the corner.
Day 3: History, Shibuya & Mario Kart

Shibuya Crossing
Visit and stroll the gardens and grounds of the Imperial Palace. Enjoy the peaceful setting and surroundings. I recommend going on a guided tour for a more in-depth look at the history.
At night time, go to Shibuya and walk across the famous Shibuya Crossing, the largest crosswalk in the world. Don’t forget to purchase tickets in advance for the famous Shibuya Sky, the most famous and beautiful viewpoint in all of Tokyo.
If you’re up for a unique experience, get your international driving permit before you go to Tokyo and then go Mario Kart go-kart racing through the city at night.
Day 4: See the sights & say goodbye

Head to nearby Tokyo Tower, an iconic symbol of the city.
Make your way to the nearby Roppongi Neighbourhood for some bougie and luxury shopping.
Go to Zojo-Ji temple to experience more culture and a beautiful view of Tokyo Tower in the background.
