I am passionate about everything international, creative and outdoors.
My travel style
I like a mix of off-the-beaten-path, and visiting iconic places. I am perpetually adding to and checking off items on my running bucket list. Austin-based; you can probably find me hiking.
A century-old Spanish-Colonial icon on the Texas Gulf Coast.
The Driskill Hotel
A downtown landmark on 6th Street, home to 189 rooms and suites, a live music bar and arguably the best chocolate cake in Texas.
Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Sea Point
In Cape Town’s oceanfront suburb of Sea Point, this comfy home base has spacious rooms with mountain or ocean views.
Recently returned from:
Experiencing penguins on the beach, sailing off the windy Cape and visiting wineries in Cape Town.
Spending a whirlwind 24 hours running around London experiencing as much as possible (and all the fish and chips).
Camping under the stars and getting surprise-snowed on while sitting in a natural hot spring on the border at Big Bend National Park, Texas.
Experiencing historical and beautiful Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia and learning about the Gullah Geechee language there.
Backpacking all over Europe (France, you're first).
WWOOFING on a coffee farm in Costa Rica.
Visiting the blue city and tasting authentic mint tea in a home in Morocco.
Namibia or New Zealand for hiking!
One thing I can't travel without...
My green REI backpack that has been all over the world with me! That and a reusable water bottle clipped to my backpack with a carabiner.
Two truths, one lie:
I arrived to teach ESL in Bangkok the day a military coup started.
I am a professional ballet dancer.
I debated current world topics at the United Nations in NYC.
