Just an hour from the international airport, Antigua immediately drew me in with its cobblestone streets, rich history, incredible food, and volcano views in every direction. I loved wandering its charming 7-by-9 grid, never feeling truly lost. Some of my favorite moments were the simplest—admiring vibrant Mayan textiles, sipping great coffee, enjoying fresh mango from a street vendor, and soaking in the city's beautiful colonial architecture. As a UNESCO World Heritage city, Antigua beautifully blends culture, adventure, and luxury, making it a place I'd return to in a heartbeat.

Lake Atitlán is surrounded by stunning volcanoes and vibrant Mayan communities, with each lakeside village offering its own unique traditions and character. Sitting at over 5,000 feet above sea level, Lake Atitlán enjoys a mild climate, making it an ideal destination for village-hopping, hiking, water activities, and rejuvenating spa experiences.

Palm Springs, California, is one of those destinations that has something for everyone. But my latest obsession is bopping around the desert with my toddler. The Palm Springs airport gives a proper welcome with minimal fuss and ease in getting to your hotel destination. Pack a good hat, stroller fan, and walking shoes. This desert oasis is sure to impress even the littlest jet-setter. There’s plenty of outdoor fun to be had, whether lounging by the hotel pool or exploring the cacti. Palm Springs also offers plenty of upscale, kid-friendly restaurants, all wrapped up in that unmistakable California cool vibe.

I fell in love with Los Cerritos Beach—it’s rustic, luxury, and all things Baja. Turning off the main highway, you will drive on an unpaved, potholed dirt road lined with cardon cacti. Once you pass the giant palapa that is Shaka’s Cantina, you’ll begin to see new developments popping up. As the car gets closer to the ocean, the sights of surfers and beach chairs will fill the view. You’ll know you’ve arrived when the giant orange villa on the bluff appears. This beach town is a secondary market to the bustle of Cabo San Lucas, which is an hour south, and a quick drive to the cultural mecca of Todos Santos, just 20 minutes north. I found this beach by following my desire to swim in the ocean. Much of Baja has such a big riptide that there are only a few swimmable places—this is one of them!
