Fall in Whistler offers a uniquely relaxed atmosphere before winter's rush. A mid-week or long weekend stay at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, perhaps coinciding with Cornucopia, guarantees genuine restoration. My partner, our dog, and I enjoyed an unhurried, indulgent long weekend during the shoulder season. Fewer crowds, easy dining, and a calm resort pace make it an ideal, easy-to-reach getaway for Pacific Northwest residents.

For a first trip to Victoria, staying somewhere that feels connected to the city makes a meaningful difference. The Fairmont Empress delivers that immediately. From the moment you arrive at the property, you are positioned directly on the Inner Harbour, surrounded by the landmarks, energy, and walkability that define Victoria. I stayed at the Fairmont Empress in September 2025 for a two-night / three-day stay with my mom.
