My Story
20-year foreign aid veteran, lover of luxury and thrills. Adventure travel, food and wine journeys, cultural immersion, rare destinations, and refined stays: here for it all.
Travel Style
I travel to connect—with people, culture, and place. From soaring cathedrals and bustling souks to coral reefs and wild landscapes, from intimate winemaker visits to Michelin-starred meals, I seek experiences that are immersive, meaningful, and full of discovery. I love a good outdoor adventure, whether that’s on a mountaintop, on horseback, in a safari vehicle, or a hundred feet underwater. I can often be found eating and drinking my way through different countries, and sharing deep cultural conversations with tour guides or enjoying playful banter while bartering with market vendors for amazing souvenirs. Wherever I go, I do it in style: wallet-friendly, chic, and luxurious digs are a must, and perfectly organized itineraries to ensure every step of the journey feels effortless.

The itinerary that Alisha created for us was extremely thoughtful! The careful planning that had gone into it was palpable at every step of the way. We didn't feel like we had an itinerary; we felt that we had an experience that was curated by someone who understood us. Alisha was also there for us as questions arose. I cannot recommend her enough.

This cruise was a last minute decision to join my son and his family. I contacted Alisha and she was able to get me on this cruise as well as on the same flights going and coming for the cruise sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale. She had answers for all my questions and if she didn’t know the answer, she did some research and filled me in quite promptly. She will continue to be my “go to” whenever I’m in the mood for another adventure!

As a seasoned globe-trotter herself, Alisha is an incredible advisor and travel planner. She really thought through all the details and travel experience for us. From a seamless check-in to thoughtful touches like a welcome bottle of wine in our room and a personal note. I'm excited to work with her again on a future trip.

Africa Beyond Safaris: Culture, Connection & the Continent’s Other Wild Beauty
When travelers think of Africa, they often picture game drives and savannah sunsets—but the continent’s real magic lives far beyond the safari jeep. It’s in the rhythm of its big cities, the peace of its natural landscapes, the spirit of its people, the thundering pulse of its biodiversity, and the ancient soul of its Indigenous cultures and customs. For many, travel to the continent feels unfamiliar—even intimidating. It’s understandable: most travelers lack genuine frames of reference for what Africa is really like, beyond the wildlife documentaries and charity campaigns that have long shaped the global narrative. Traveling in Africa takes confidence and an open heart. But for those willing to venture into the less familiar, the rewards are extraordinary—rapidly emerging economies, thriving capitals, uninterrupted cultures, and immense local pride in ways of life both traditional and boldly modern. This is Africa for the curious and intrepid: vibrant, creative, entrepreneurial, deeply human. Adventure here isn’t only about landscapes—it’s about the stories, people, and moments that connect them. With curiosity, humility, and a genuine desire to engage, travelers find themselves welcomed into a continent eager to share its richness—not as a single story, but as thousands unfolding all at once.

From Reefs to Resorts: A Scuba Specialist’s Guide to Cozumel
For scuba divers, Cozumel is a true playground: legendary reefs, spectacular wall dives, and a coral population that remains vibrant and full of life. Nurse sharks and sea turtles are frequent dive companions, while intricate coral formations create thrilling swim-throughs and dramatic drop-offs. Many divers resign themselves to dive-centric hotels and rental condos that lack comfort or atmosphere—this island offers so much more—if you know how to experience it right. With moderately sized resorts (not overwhelming mega-resorts) that balance dive access with elevated amenities, Cozumel delivers world-class reefs, small-island charm, and exceptional food in a setting that blends adventure and indulgence.
