Lovely, Stylish Hotel in Heart of Alesund, Norway
Curator’s statement

New, modern upscale rooms at Hotel Brosundet. Very nice spaces with exposed wood in the rooms and throughout the hotel which gave it a rustic, almost "chic mountain elegance" feel thats bright and airy.

  • Very nice views of the water and some of the rooms have large floor to ceiling windows, but other rooms have tiny windows and therefore are darker. Look at the room before you accept it. You may want to upgrade. We upgraded to a superior room and it was worth it. They are all lovely though. Some are also quite a bit larger.

  • Breakfast is good, but quite a bit less variety than other hotels we have stayed at (Thon hotels).

  • Great location near the harbor as well as all the shopping and sights.

  • Staff is wonderful. Very attentive, friendly and willing to help.

  • There is a unique artsy fireplace which is the center piece of the lobby area. It is a very welcoming spot to hang out in.
