The Terra Nostra Garden Hotel is an Upscale Hotel in the Heart of Furnas, Azores
Curator’s statement

The Terra Nostra Garden Hotel is modern, with well kept, lovely rooms, comfortable beds and nice views. We were on the third floor and it was very relaxing with the door opened to hear the wind in the trees and see all the green outside.

The staff is knowledgable and friendly. They try hard to provide good service and they seem eager to please. We were especially touched when we returned to our room to find a bottle of Champagne cooling and two wine glasses. It was a unexpected surprise!

The large warm natural pool in the gardens was a wonderful place to unwind after many hours of hiking each day.

The gardens are exquisite. We especially enjoyed the giant ferns.

Food was good. They use a lot of their native root vegetable and the whole meal is fresh, healthy and filling.

Need to Know

I recommend Terra Nostra Hotel for a relaxing stay in the Azores. It is a good location for hiking and visiting the volcanic areas of steam. The garden area of the hotel is lovely and peaceful for strolling around in. We stumbled upon a large wine tasting convention in the evening and were able to try some of the wonderful wines from the Azores.
