About the Hotel

Brown's Hotel in London boasts a distinguished heritage, famously serving as the setting where Rudyard Kipling penned part of "The Jungle Book." Initially solely owned by the Forte family, it recently saw a partial ownership transfer to a Saudi Arabian private investment fund. Led by Sir Rocco Forte, the family remains deeply engaged in the hotel's operations. Olga Polizzi, Rocco's youngest sister, lends her talent to the interior design of the entire Forte collection.

The Forte children each contribute uniquely to the group's ventures, focusing on development, food and beverage, and skincare lines. Rooted in Italian heritage, Brown's Hotel is London's oldest, predating Claridge's by five years. Its establishment in 1837 marked the merger of 11 townhouses, combining the original Brown's and St. George's hotels. With 115 rooms, including 33 suites spread across five floors, the hotel exudes historic charm. Its cocktail bar, the renowned Donovan Bar, named after the celebrated photographer Terrance Donovan, is a must-visit for its ambiance and libations.

Brown's Hotel in London is perfect for discerning travelers seeking an opulent and culturally immersive experience. It caters to individuals who value heritage and tradition, ensuring a stay steeped in history and elegance. Whether guests prioritize personalized service, attention to detail or exquisite culinary experiences, Brown's Hotel exceeds expectations. Additionally, for those who appreciate the art of mixology and vibrant social settings, the legendary Donovan Bar offers an unforgettable experience.
