Imagine if the worst parts about travel — airport traffic, lines, frustrating inefficiency — could disappear. Thanks to BLADE, it can. BLADE is pioneering the travel world by offering impressively efficient air transportation via helicopter, seaplane or jet — much-welcome alternatives to some of the most congested ground routes in the US and abroad. Even better, I can arrange all of this for you. With BLADE, you can book seats on scheduled flights between Manhattan and JFK or Newark, as well as on flights between Vancouver and Victoria, in Canada, and between Monaco and Nice in Europe. BLADE can also facilitate chartered or crowdsourced flights to any destination around the world. BLADE's network of exclusive lounges, along with their dedicated first- and last-mile ground transportation services, render the whole process even more seamless.

Chapter Roma

Chapter Roma is unapologetically itself: playful, eclectic, bold, artistic. The fun boutique hotel, located in Rome’s Regola district, has a little mix of everything. Rooms are decorated with pieces crafted by both local and international artisans. The artwork is a delightful blend of modern and classic — plus some tasteful graffiti thrown in for good measure. Friendly staff, an unfussy vibe and a curated selection of drinking and dining venues (ranging from a breezy, colorful outdoor terrace to a sexy dinner-club style restaurant) keep spirits high and the energy positive.

Fora Perks

For an especially intimate Roman hideaway, head to Hotel De’ Ricci, which boasts eight suites. Wine lovers will rejoice at the in-room cellars and the hotel’s exceptional tastings. Whisky, rum and grappa tasting are also available. For more delectable beverages, paired with equally delectable food, Hotel De’ Ricci’s art-filled Charade Bar is the place to be. After enjoying your meal and a nightcap, the Cigar Lounge, a handsome space stocked exclusively with Cuban cigars, beckons.

Fora Perks

  • $75 food / beverage credit, breakfast daily, upgrade & extended check-in/out whenever possible.

Lupaia

Few hotels so seamlessly blend modern luxury with reverence for the past as Lupaia, a magical 12-suite escape on a bucolic hillside in Montepulciano. The property was originally a collection of 17th-century stone stables built by farmers. Today, these stables have been converted into charming, airy rooms and suites equipped with luxe furnishings as well as exposed beams, stone and original pillars, reflecting the property’s historical (and charming) rusticity. In keeping with that theme, ultra-nourishing and comforting Tuscan peasant cuisine is prepared in Lupaia’s open-air kitchen, using the finest locally sourced ingredients, plus those soured directly from the estate itself, including pomegranates, figs, quince and their signature organic extra virgin olive oil.

Fora Perks

  • Welcome amenity, breakfast daily, upgrade whenever possible.

When in London, you can’t go wrong with the posh Mayfair neighborhood, nor its iconic Flemings Mayfair Hotel. This quintessentially British gem is at once sophisticated and bold, playful and stylish. Expect bright colors, sumptuous fabrics and that enviable put-together look the British do so well. And don’t miss Flemings’ signature restaurant, Ormer, with its well-deserved Michelin Star and mouth-watering tasting menus highlighting the season’s freshest produce.

Fora Perks

  • $50 food / beverage credit, breakfast daily, complimentary one-way airport transfer.

Hotel AMANO Covent Garden

The energy is always high at this fun, youthful stay in the heart of Covent Garden’s Theatre District. AMANO’s rooftop bar is the place to be for sweeping city views paired with creative cocktails and tapas. At Penelope’s, enjoy food inspired by the flavors of Israel and Southern Spain before dancing along to a live DJ set. Rooms are sleek and modern — gold accents, black stone — and reflect the cool vibes of AMANO’s stylish clientele.

  • Welcome drinks, breakfast daily, upgrade whenever possible.

The Hoxton, Amsterdam & The Hoxton, Lloyd Amsterdam

The Hoxton brand excels at blending hip design and effortless hyperlocality. Indeed, the hotels tend to be the preferred hang-out spots for locals in cosmopolitan cities. The Hoxton, Amsterdam, is centrally located, near the city’s historic Herengracht canal, and the canal district in general, while The Hoxton, Lloyd is located in the city’s ultramodern Eastern Docklands. At both locations, expect stylish, comfy rooms, casual (and very chic) restaurants, warm service and the best local recs.

  • Welcome amenity, exclusive rates, upgrade whenever possible.
