Curator’s statement

Mozambique is a fantastic place to see Africa's most pristine looking white-sanded beaches that will leave you in awe. It is a country with long coastlines, diverse flora and fauna, great snorkeling and scuba diving, sandbar islands, cute and rustic cities with influences from the Arabs, Portugueses and many others along with traditional African homesteads. The regions in Mozambique are diverse, but the beaches are a must to see. The towns of Massinga and Tofo are located on the Indian Ocean. They are filled with white sands, long coastlines, palm trees, tranquil towns and an opportunity to explore the oceans coral and sea life. Massinga Beach in Inhambane province has endless stretch of sandy beach, luxury accommodation and attentive staff to ensure your stay is an unforgettable one. Tofo is a small beach town located on the southeastern coast of Mozambique, about 22 kilometers east of Inhambane. With its vibrant barefoot vibes, this place is a stop for the average backpacker with affordable restaurants and plenty of beach bars.
