Day 1: Famous sightseeing

Visit Central London to see the necessary tourist attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Parliament and Big Ben. Love to shop? Make sure to stop by Harrod's, one of the world's largest and most famous department stores. If you're a history buff, definitely check out the Churchill War Rooms to go back in time with their comprehensive self-guided audio tour. Or looking for other popular museum options, check out the British Museum or V&A Art Museum. Make sure to stop by a local pub for a pint and fish 'n' chips for lunch! I recommend dinner at Gymkhana, one of the top-rated Indian restaurants located in Mayfair.

Day 2: Shop, eat, drink

Start your day in Notting Hill with a walk through Portobello Road Market. Here you will find a mix of vintage finds, souvenirs and other items. I recommend breakfast at Farm Girl, or lunch at Gold (get the chicken!) While in Notting Hill check out the bookstore from the Notting Hill movie, or Bertie Blossoms (Ed Sheeran's bar). In the afternoon, walk around Mayfair, Covent Garden and Soho areas. There are so many shops here and cute streets to walk down. After a long day of walking, go grab a drink at The Connaught Bar or The Fumoir before dinner. Looking for a fun evening activity? Get tickets to a show on the West End, London’s Broadway.

Day 3: Along the river

fruits at market

Start your day by visiting the Tower of London. Here you can take a glimpse at the life of English royalty by viewing the Crown Jewels. After that, walk over the famous Tower Bridge to see a different view of the River Thames. By now, you will probably be ready to eat! Walk along the river to Borough Market, one of the largest and oldest food markets in London. Borough Market has over 100 stalls to explore! Once you are full from trying foods from various cuisines and exploring all that Borough Market has to offer, head to the Tate Modern for your art fill. Here you can view a huge collection of modern and contemporary art. You can also stop at the Terrace Cafe for a drink and a beautiful view of the river. If you're up for it, walk back across the London Bridge before returning to your hotel. Looking for another fun drink spot? Check out The Bloomsbury Club for a unique tarot card inspired cocktail menu, eccentric vibe and frequent live music.

Have some extra time?

A table for afternoon tea with cakes and sweets.

Explore Shoreditch! Here you can find a variety of food and shopping markets with many cool and affordable vintage finds. Be sure to visit Brick Lane and Spitalfields. There are also lots of fun restaurants and bars to check out in this neighborhood. We went to Manteca for some delicious handmade pasta.

Cheer on a local team! Experience the real world of Ted Lasso and head to a local football match. We went to watch a Tottenham versus West Ham United game, and were in awe of the fandom and excitement in the arena. Even if you know nothing about football or soccer, you will enjoy the atmosphere and undoubtedly become a quick fan of whatever team you have chosen to see.

Getting Around

To get around London we did a mix of cabs, the Tube and public buses. It was easy to navigate and we had a lot of fun viewing the city from the top of the iconic red double decker buses.
