Advisor - From Acropolis to Amanzoe: A 7-Day Luxury Greece Itinerary
Curator’s statement

Greece is one of those rare destinations that manages to balance history and horizon in perfect proportion. I designed this itinerary to highlight both sides of the experience: the cultural pulse of Athens and the quiet, architectural calm of the Peloponnese. Staying at The Dolli and Amanzoe creates a seamless week of design, wellness, and awe. It’s for travelers who want to see the world’s oldest city, then retreat to a place that feels completely timeless.

Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Kate to book your trip.

Day 1: Arrive & check in to The Dolli at Acropolis

Arrive in Athens and check in to The Dolli at Acropolis, a neoclassical landmark turned contemporary retreat. Ease into your trip by relaxing at the rooftop infinity pool, where the Parthenon feels close enough to touch. In the evening, enjoy your first Greek meal on The Dolli’s terrace—an elegant welcome to the city.

Day 2: Athens sightseeing & shopping

Begin your day exploring the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum with a private guide for context and crowd avoidance. Wander through Plaka’s winding streets and Monastiraki’s boutiques, stopping for an afternoon coffee or gelato. Return to the hotel for sunset cocktails. The Dolli’s rooftop view is one of the best in Europe.

Day 3: Transfer to the Peloponnese

After breakfast, transfer to the Peloponnese. A private driver will take you on a scenic 2.5-hour journey through olive groves to Amanzoe, or you can opt for a helicopter transfer directly to the resort’s private helipad. Spend the afternoon settling into your Pavilion, soaking in panoramic views of the Aegean and unwinding by your plunge pool.

Day 4: Private boat to Hydra or Spetses

Hydra

Wake up to sweeping views of the sea and a breakfast that might redefine “continental.” Head to the Amanzoe Beach Club for swimming, sunbathing, and a leisurely lunch. For a touch of adventure, take a private boat to Hydra or Spetses, two nearby islands known for their car-free charm and cosmopolitan energy.

Day 5: Explore Mycenae & Epidaurus

Mycenae

Explore the ancient sites of Mycenae and Epidaurus, both easily reached from Amanzoe. Wander through millennia of history before returning for a restorative spa treatment inspired by the holistic philosophy of Hippocrates. Evening drinks on your Pavilion terrace are the perfect modern counterpoint to the day’s ancient discoveries.

Day 6: Relax at Amanzoe

Spend your final full day embracing the art of doing very little. Borrow a bicycle and ride through the olive groves, arrange a local wine or olive oil tasting, or enjoy a private yoga session overlooking the Aegean. End your trip with dinner at the Amanzoe Beach Club and the kind of sunset meal you’ll compare all others to.

Day 7: Farewell

Savor a final breakfast with a view before your private transfer back to Athens or onward to your next Greek island escape.

Need to know

This itinerary is ideal from May through October, when the weather is warm and the sea is inviting. September offers golden light, quieter beaches, and perfect swimming conditions. For travelers who value privacy and design, Amanzoe’s Pavilions are unmatched. And if time allows, a few extra nights at The Rooster Antiparos or a private villa in Paros create the ultimate Greek finale.
