Day 1: Miraflores & gastronomy

Morning & afternoon in Lima
Arrive in Lima and settle into your hotel.
Stroll along the Malecón, the clifftop promenade with sweeping Pacific Ocean views. Explore the colorful gardens and enjoy the public art installations along the coast. Wander through Miraflores to experience local markets, boutique shops, and vibrant street art.
Enjoy lunch at Restaurant Huaca Pucllana, where you will dine alongside the ruins of a pre-Incan pyramid. Be sure to try their ceviche or causa for your first taste of Peruvian cuisine.
Evening
Lima is known for its incredible culinary scene, and one meal you cannot miss is dinner at Astrid & Gastón, where you can indulge in the tasting menu at this iconic restaurant by chef Gastón Acurio.
After dinner, head to Carnaval to sip on creative cocktails and soak in Lima’s lively nightlife.

Day 2: Full-day trip to Paracas, Ica & Huacachina

Morning
Set out early for a full-day tour along Peru’s stunning southern coast. Cruise the waves on a boat tour of the Ballestas Islands, where you’ll spot penguins, sea lions, and exotic seabirds while admiring the dramatic cliffs and coastal landscapes.
Afternoon
Travel to Ica for lunch and a Pisco tasting, then continue on to Huacachina, a picturesque desert oasis surrounded by towering sand dunes. Thrill-seekers can enjoy buggy rides across the dunes and try sandboarding for an unforgettable desert adventure.
Evening
Return to Lima and get some rest before your journey to Cusco the next day.

Day 3: Fly to Cusco

Morning
Fly from Lima to Cusco. Take it slow upon arrival to adjust to the high altitude. Enjoy some coca leaf tea or chew coca leaves to help ease any discomfort.
Afternoon
Enjoy lunch at Morena Peruvian Kitchen, where signature dishes like lomo saltado and quinoa specialties are must-tries.

Day 4: Salt mines or Sacsayhuamán & Cusco exploration

Morning options
Salt mines and Moray tour: Explore terraced salt ponds and ancient Incan agricultural sites while discovering the traditional methods still used to harvest salt today.
Sacsayhuamán and Cusco city tour: Take a half-day tour exploring Cusco’s fascinating colonial and Incan heritage. Marvel at the Spanish architecture and artwork inside the city’s main cathedral and visit Qoricancha, once the most important temple of the Inca Empire. You’ll also explore the nearby archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay.
Afternoon
After returning to Cusco, enjoy lunch at Limbus Restobar, a rooftop restaurant offering stunning panoramic views over the city.
Walk around the Plaza de Armas to admire colonial architecture. Wander into the charming San Blas neighborhood, known for artisan shops and cobblestone streets.

Day 5: Machu Picchu

Morning
Board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. From there, choose between a short hike or bus ride up to the ruins.
Explore the incredible terraces, temples, and viewpoints of this world wonder.
Afternoon
Continue touring Machu Picchu with a local guide to learn more about the fascinating history of the Inca civilization. Adventurous travelers can also hike Huayna Picchu for breathtaking views overlooking the ancient city.
Evening
Return to Cusco by train and enjoy a late dinner at Cicciolina, known for its delicious tapas-style dishes, perfect after a long day of exploration.

Day 6: Rainbow Mountain
Morning or afternoon
Drive out early to Rainbow Mountain for a challenging but rewarding hike. The colorful mineral-striped slopes create one of the most unique landscapes in Peru.
Be sure to snap photos with the local llamas and take in the incredible views.
Evening
Return to Cusco and enjoy dinner at Museo del Pisco, a lively spot known for its excellent cocktails and traditional dishes.

Day 7: Rest day & cooking class in Cusco

Morning
Enjoy a leisurely start to the day, sleep in, or explore Cusco at your own pace.
Afternoon
Join a cooking class with a local chef, beginning with a guided market tour. Learn how to prepare classic Peruvian dishes like ceviche, lomo saltado, and traditional desserts, and take the recipes home to recreate the flavors of Peru.
Evening
Enjoy dinner at Pachapapa, known for its delicious traditional Andean cuisine served in a charming courtyard setting.

Day 8: Humantay Lake excursion
Morning

Return to Cusco and relax at your hotel or treat yourself to a spa afternoon.
Evening
Enjoy dinner at Mauka, known for its modern Peruvian cuisine, in a relaxed atmosphere.
