The Perfect 10-Day South of France Honeymoon: Riviera Glamour & Provençal Romance

Curator’s statement
The South of France is my favorite kind of honeymoon. Long, slow mornings, markets that smell like lavender, and at least one night where you drink too much wine and call it romance. This itinerary mixes Riviera polish with Provençal calm, art, sea air, and a little sport for balance. It’s designed for couples who want luxury without the rush and who understand that the best memories happen somewhere between lunch and nap time.

Day 1: Arrive in Nice & transfer to Vence for a soft landing

Check into Château Saint-Martin & Spa and start the process of becoming a more relaxed version of yourself. Swim, nap, and look out over the olive groves. Take a short walk through St-Paul-de-Vence before dinner on the terrace. Order something simple, eat slowly, and go to bed early. You’ve earned it.
Day 2: Markets, art & a long lunch

Start at the flower market in Nice and pick up peaches that taste like sunshine. Visit the Fondation Maeght for Calder, Miró, and a little culture before lunch. Eat at La Colombe d’Or, where the food is good and the art is better. Spend the afternoon by the pool, maybe at the spa. Save your energy. You’re just getting started.
Day 3: Cap Ferrat mornings & Monaco sparkle

Drive to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat for a swim, followed by lunch at Jasmin Grill & Lounge at the Royal-Riviera. Walk the coastal path surrounded by turquoise water and palm trees. If you’re up for it, dress up and drive to Monaco for dinner at Gaïa. Stay out too late, dance once, and call it research.
Day 4: Transfer to Antibes for a taste of Riviera glamour

Check into Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc and immediately question whether you’ve ever stayed anywhere this beautiful. Play tennis in the morning and pretend it’s for fitness. Lunch at Eden-Roc Grill for oysters and rosé, then spend the afternoon on the pontoon, reading or doing absolutely nothing. Dinner at Bacon for bouillabaisse that will ruin you for all future fish. Order dessert and at least one extra glass of wine.
Day 5: Boat day. No agenda. No regrets.

Charter a boat to the Lérins Islands. Swim in hidden coves, share a bottle of rosé, and promise you’ll buy a small boat someday. You won’t, but it’s nice to dream. Have lunch on board or dock at Île Saint-Honorât for grilled fish and sea breeze. Back at the hotel, nap off the sun, and order room service in robes.
Day 6: Head to Cassis, the quiet beauty of the coast

Drive along the water to Cassis and check into Les Roches Blanches. This hotel feels like summer bottled up. Take a small boat into the Calanques and swim in turquoise coves that look Photoshopped. Lunch at the harbor, dinner at La Villa Madie, and one night of too much wine. You’ll sleep like you invented leisure.
Day 7: Wine, art & Provence

Drive inland to Villa La Coste. Spend the day walking through vineyards and sculptures, pretending you understand modern art and actually meaning it by the third glass of rosé. Dinner at Louison, where the food tastes like sunshine. Early to bed, windows open, air warm.
Day 8: Aix-en-Provence for markets & moments

Spend the morning in Aix exploring markets and cafés. Buy olive oil, linen, and one thing you’ll never use but can’t leave behind. Lunch outside under the plane trees. Drive back to Villa La Coste for a quiet dinner and one last glass of rosé under the stars.
Day 9: Arrive in Ramatuelle & reset by the sea

Check into La Réserve Ramatuelle. Play a game of padel in the morning and call it cardio. Have lunch at the pool or the spa terrace. Read, nap, and let the Mediterranean soundtrack the rest of the day. Dinner at La Voile, watching the sun melt into the sea.
Day 10: Beach clubs & goodbyes

Spend your last day at Club 55 or Loulou Ramatuelle. Long lunch, long swim, and people-watching that counts as an activity. If you have energy left, visit St. Tropez for a quick shop or sunset drink. Back at the hotel, toast to marriage, love, and your excellent taste in destinations.
Need to know
This trip works with any combination of these hotels if you’d prefer fewer transfers. You can stay in Antibes and Ramatuelle only and still experience the best of the Riviera and Provence. The trick is to slow down. Play tennis at Eden-Roc just to say you did, take the boat even if it’s pricey, and have one night where you drink too much wine. You’ll remember the laughter, not the receipt. Bring flat sandals, curiosity, and the person you genuinely love. Everything else can be handled.
