Day 1: Arrive in San José del Cabo

Upon checking into the stunning Viceroy, unwind beachside at their seasonal pop-up featuring Veuve Clicquot. Indulge in a bottle of champagne paired with fresh oysters and rosé mignonette before freshening up for the evening ahead.
For dinner, make your way to Acre, arriving an hour before sunset to fully experience the property. Take time to visit the rescued animals, wander through the lush gardens, and then settle into the restaurant just as golden hour bathes this outdoor oasis in warm light. Despite being in the desert, the abundant vegetation here creates an enchanting jungle-like atmosphere that feels worlds away from reality.
Don’t miss the caviar-topped crispy rice with fresh tuna—it’s exceptional. And be sure to try the key lime margarita—it’s the kind of drink that creates lasting memories.
Day 2: Enjoy poolside yoga & a spa day

Day two begins with poolside yoga at the Viceroy, followed by a leisurely brunch on the property. Retreat to the spa for their invigorating thermal cold plunge and a restorative 90-minute massage that will leave you completely rejuvenated.
Spend the afternoon lounging poolside, savoring complimentary mango popsicles and expertly crafted cocktails as you soak up the desert sun.
As evening approaches, venture into the art district for the weekly Thursday night art walk—a vibrant gathering where locals and visitors alike come together to explore galleries, dine, and shop. Cap off the night with authentic street-side dining: perfectly seasoned tacos al pastor paired with ice-cold beers under the stars.
Day 3: Spend the day at Flora Farms

An afternoon at Flora Farms, just a short Uber ride away, offers a delightful escape to an organic farm in the mountains. Stroll the picturesque property while meeting friendly farm animals, then browse offerings from local vendors showcasing handcrafted goods, artisanal soaps, fresh produce from their farm stand, and treats from their on-site bakery.
For lunch, savor wood-fired pizza topped with house-made ingredients like creamy goat cheese and spicy habanero honey—a perfect balance of flavors. Complement your meal with craft cocktails, such as their signature Flora gin martini, while enjoying live music from a talented three-piece band in this serene mountain setting.
Day 4: Sail on the Sea of Cortez

Day four takes us out to sea for an unforgettable sailing adventure on the Sea of Cortez. The day unfolds with endless laughter, refreshing cocktails, and cooling dips in the crystal-clear waters—a perfect respite from Cabo’s warm desert sun. We dance on deck, share stories, and forge genuine connections with fellow travelers who quickly become friends. It’s the kind of magical experience that stays with you long after you’ve returned to shore.
The evening winds down with dinner at Awacate back at the Viceroy, where we indulge in exceptional tacos paired with perfectly crafted mezcal margaritas. For dessert, we treat ourselves to a private tequila tasting—the ideal way to toast an incredible trip spent with friends!
Need to know
Not all of Cabo’s beaches are swimmable. Consult with an expert travel advisor to recommend where you can swim. Cabo San Lucas and Cabo San José are vastly different and in different areas. Ubers are widely available. I was surprised by the 16 percent VAT tax rate. Bills ran up fairly quickly when you include resort prices for food and beverages, not including tips.
