Best things to do during a 3-day trip to Puerto Rico

rocks in bright blue water during daytime

Visit the rainforest (yes, a real tropical rainforest in the US!!)

Book a private tour of the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System and Puerto Rico’s number one tourist attraction, El Yunque. Hike along a route customized to your interests and abilities, you may opt to climb 1,575 feet to the top of the Yokahú Observation Tower for an expansive view of the surrounding mountains and the blue waters of the Atlantic in the distance. Afterward, cool off with a refreshing swim in a natural pool underneath the thunderous La Mina Falls.

Experience the art and culture of Old San Juan

Visiting San Juan is a must-do when spending 3 days in Puerto Rico. You will join a local guide for an immersive experience in Old San Juan. One of the most well-preserved colonial Spanish settlements in the Americas. This UNESCO World Heritage site is renowned for its impressive fortifications, brightly colored houses and cobblestone streets, alongside trendy cocktail bars and inventive Caribbean fusion restaurants. On an interactive walking tour tailored to your interests, your guide will provide first-hand insight into Puerto Rico’s history, culture, art, music, and food.

Play golf

Championship golf awaits you at some of the best courses on the island including East course and Sugarcane course located at Dorado Beach-Ritz Carlton Reserve or St. Regis Bahía Beach Resort & Golf Club.

Go on a Bio Bay night tour

For a magical experience you can only find in two other places in the world, include a bioluminescent bay on your trip to Puerto Rico. There are only five ecosystems in the world where the concentration of these dinoflagellates is high enough to be considered a bioluminescent bay, and Puerto Rico is home to three of them! Take a guided tour of the Bioluminescent Bay in Fajardo, where you can witness the spectacular glow-in-the-dark plankton and experience the beauty of nature. This is a must when spending 3 days in Puerto Rico!

Day Trips

Venture to surrounding Islands including Vieques, Icacos and Palomino (among others) on a private yacht.
