Curator’s statement
Grand Cayman is special to me for its effortless blend of natural beauty and genuine hospitality. Seven Mile Beach, with its soft white sand and impossibly turquoise water, feels like a postcard brought to life—calm, clear, and endlessly inviting. What truly elevates the experience, though, are the warm, welcoming people of the island and the exceptional level of service found throughout its resorts and restaurants. It’s a destination where stunning scenery meets heartfelt Caribbean charm

Things to do on Grand Cayman

We snorkeled at Macabuca, hopping straight off the ladder into the cove for an effortless entry into crystal-clear water.
Relax on Seven Mile Beach: Seven Mile Beach is the heart of Grand Cayman, known for its soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water. The calm sea makes it perfect for swimming, long beach walks, and sunset watching. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind and soak in the beauty of the Caribbean.
Experience the elevated dining scene: Grand Cayman is often considered the culinary capital of the Caribbean. The island offers an impressive mix of refined oceanfront dining, fresh local seafood, and globally inspired cuisine. From sunset dinners to stylish cocktail lounges, the service and presentation are consistently exceptional.
Snorkel the reefs: With some of the clearest water in the Caribbean, snorkeling in Grand Cayman feels like swimming in an aquarium. Vibrant coral reefs and tropical fish are easily accessible, making it an unforgettable experience for both beginners and seasoned explorers.
Visit Rum Point & Starfish Point: For a more laid-back island vibe, head to Rum Point for shallow, calm waters and classic Caribbean charm. Nearby Starfish Point offers a peaceful setting where bright red starfish rest in the clear shallows. It’s serene, scenic, and beautifully unhurried.
Explore Stingray City: Stingray City is one of the island’s most iconic experiences. At this shallow sandbar, you can safely interact with friendly stingrays in waist-deep water. It’s adventurous, unique, and truly memorable.
Enjoy beach clubs & rooftop views: Spend the day at Bonny Moon Beach Club for chic beachfront lounging and craft cocktails, then head to Pom Pom Rooftop for panoramic views and sunset drinks. These spots add a stylish, modern touch to the island’s relaxed luxury.
Hotel-hop & indulge in resort experiences: Grand Cayman is home to stunning resorts with exceptional hospitality. Enjoy cocktails at different oceanfront bars, book a spa treatment, or dine at signature restaurants throughout the island. Exploring the resort scene is part of the experience.

Need to know
Grand Cayman is polished yet relaxed, but reservations are essential—especially along Seven Mile Beach during high season. Plan dinners around sunset whenever possible—many waterfront restaurants offer golden-hour views that truly elevate the experience. If you prefer quieter beach time, head out early in the morning when the water is glassy and the shoreline feels almost private.
To explore Rum Point, Starfish Point, or the East End, renting a car offers the most flexibility and access to the island’s more serene corners—though you can also opt for the scenic water taxi for a unique and relaxed journey across the North Sound. Keep in mind there is no rideshare service (such as Uber or Lyft) on the island, so plan ahead with a rental car, pre-arranged transfers, or local taxis.
For Stingray City, choose a calm, less windy day for the best visibility and overall experience. And don’t rush—Cayman runs on a refined version of island time, where exceptional service and genuine hospitality make you want to slow down and stay a little longer.
