My Story
Eager and energetic lifetime learner, and total organization and logistics nerd, who loves nothing more than reading a book on a train, meandering aimlessly through city streets, and finding that perfectly underrated local tea shop where you can sit and talk to the owner about her life. After experiencing the life-changing magic of solo travel myself, my mission is to bring authentic and sustainable cultural experiences to other curious and compassionate travelers.
Travel Style
I specialize in solo, culturally-immersive, and ethical travel. My favorite trips are those where I make real connections with people and can learn not only the facts and dates of a place's history, but the stories of the people there. I look for sustainable and ethical practices in the partners I work with, focusing as much as possible on locally-owned, non-exploitative, and sustainability-focused hotels, tour companies, and activities. As an avid runner, yogi, and plant-based eater, I also try to find the special corners of each destination where you can find vegan options of regional dishes, great hiking and running spots, and other ways to balance the intellectual stimulations of travel with physically nourishing self-care. I really try to fill my travel days with experiences, not just destinations, and find the balance of packing in as much as possible with finding the right opportunities to linger and just soak up the experience of simply being, just as you are, without urgency, amidst the beauty and humanity of the world.

Teagan Walter is everything her reviews say and more. We are people with adventure in our souls and an attitude that we want to still see and do it all. After sage advice on Turkey, Greece, and several countries in between Teagan navigated us through Venice to Normandy and included the details of each day so we could relax and take it all in from there Bayeux to the beaches and beyond. We knew how to master Mount St.Michel and find our way by train to a relaxed few days in Paris up close and personal. Her instincts are right on. Teagan is transparent and clever in her explanations so you feel competent todo it all with confidence. Do not leave home without Teagan on speed text. I am inspired to go to even more exotic places because with Teagan I feel like I can do it all. Viva this kind of service and an attitude.

She's fabulous. She went the extra mile to make sure we were taking care of before and during our trip. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

A Vegan’s Guide to Food, Culture & History in Mexico City
The food scene in Mexico City is incredible, and the best part is that plant-based eaters don’t have to miss out on the fun! This is one of my favorite destinations for anything from a long weekend city-break to a jumping off point for a longer trip to really experience what Mexico has to offer. In addition to the outstanding food, Mexico City is also a gorgeous city, full of trees, parks, and cute shops, and the weather is fantastic year-round. If you’re into great food, cafes, and matcha (my addiction)—this is your place. If you want to check out museums and activities full of art, history, and culture—this is your place. If you just want to meander around and window-shop in a gorgeous city—this is your place.

A Marathoner's Guide to Visiting Chicago
Chicago is so special to me; not only is my family from here and did I go to school here, but this was also the location of my first marathon. The moment of crossing that finish line for the first time is something that can never be taken way from you. Chicago is an excellent marathon city for many reasons—in addition to the flat course, the great weather (usually), and the amazing crowds (shoutout to Boystown!), Chicago has beautiful skyline views, an exceptional food scene, and great, unique activities. It is an amazing marathon destination.

A Vegan's Guide to New York City's History & Culture
New York City has something for absolutely everyone, and the more I have visited, the more I have fallen in love with the city! It may seem overwhelming at first because there is so much to see and do (and eat), but I recommend not trying to overdo it—pick some key things to see and otherwise, just enjoy the energy, chaos, and vibrancy of this unmatched city. While you plan a trip around any of dozens of themes, this guide is for plant-based eaters, or those who enjoy ethical and intentional cuisine, who are looking to explore some of the special and meaningful historical elements of the city—the art, the narratives, the diverse people and events that have built this city. Suggested activities and destinations honor the struggles, the pain, and the triumphs of the people and communities whose legacies echo in the identity of New York City.
