A Magical Day in Machu Picchu
I loved visiting Machu Picchu, a place I had always dreamed about, and I never gave up on that dream. I felt as if something was waiting for me there, and even now I want to return to the place where I felt I truly belonged. I flew from Lima to Cusco, a quick one-hour flight, and chose to stay overnight in the Sacred Valley, about 1.5 to 2 hours from Cusco by car. I loved waking up surrounded by mountains, enjoying a slow breakfast at the hotel, and not feeling rushed before heading to Machu Picchu. From the Sacred Valley, I took the train from Ollantaytambo Station to Aguas Calientes, followed by a 25–30-minute bus ride up to the site (though hiking is also an option for those who want the challenge).

Thai History in Ayutthaya
One of my favorite places not far from Bangkok is Ayutthaya. It’s well known as the former Siamese capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I’m always excited to learn more about Thai history, and visiting Ayutthaya opened my eyes to the ancient world that once existed there. I still can’t imagine how people in the past were able to build such beautiful temples and Buddha statues. It truly fascinates me.

The Magic of Chiang Mai: A Northern Thailand Gem
I enjoy visiting small towns that are rich in history and free from heavy traffic. Using Chiang Mai as a base, I usually take short trips there. It only takes me about an hour to get there.
